All About Pocket Knives

My father bought me this knife about 30 years ago. It’s a Schrade 50T. I used it a lot for a few years but I put it up in hopes to keep it for my son when he’s old enough to have one.

Your 5OT (OT for Old Timer) was made from 1987 to 1998. You must have one from the first few years of production.
I have see a lot of Schrades that are passed from generation to generation, I have my grandfather's 34OT, it is a nice way to remember the preceding generations.

Welcome, dbaxter! Nice knife, the 5OT; I really like them. I gave one to a friend who used it to field dress a BUNCH of game animals. I see that yours does have the + sign, which means stainless steel.
