The half ton looks beautiful but I read that the broad blade might not be ideal for some of the daily chores e.g slicing an apple or oranges...

The blade for the Half-Ton (& Chubby) is only 2½" long but it's 1/8" thick at the spine so it's not much of a slicer. The Leek (3" blade) is the slicer in the family. Light, slender, non threatening and can be easily found in most colors for under $50.

I'll tell ya Witchblade I only gut the half-ton because I like the wrench clip the knife itself is so-so ergo's are ruff at best and she's too small fir my mitts.
