All About Pocket Knives

Picked up another Bob Neal knife I thought I would show off. This one a 3 blade split back whittler with worm groove bone handles. Once again the fit and finish is really excellent.

Tom you've got the makin's of a pretty darned nice collection on those Neal knives.

I just found out that my article on knife maker Bob Neal of Monticello, KY will run in the July issue of Knife World. A lot of work and time went into this and I ended up making a day trip down there on MLK Day. Bob and his wife Joyce are very cordial people. Hope the article is enjoyed and if you have an interest in the Neal's knives you might run down an issue. I intend on coming back in and posting more pictures on line after the article is published. Thanks to those who gave me the valuable input on the steps to follow in getting good pictures, etc.

Picked up a couple of knives from Bob Neal yesterday at the Somerset Gun & Knife Show. The Red Bone is a switchblade. The crooked knife has Water Buck handles. I took a picture of both sides to show that the handles on the crooked knife are different colors. Both knives have Damascus Blades.

Tom those are both fantastic ! It's easy to see you've become quite a Bob Neal fan. I can certainly understand why. He does amazing work and is a very nice, friendly gentleman. Congratulations on your two newest additions.

You are right, I am quite the fan of Bob Neal. I have knives made by Bob that have handles made from Water Buck, Musk Ox, Armadillo, and Walrus Penile Bone along with the regular Bone, Stag, and Ram's Horn. I am amazed at the talent it takes to make the crooked knife. How many knife makers start with the handles, then make the knife to fit the handles? I think he is "one of one"!!!!

Super nice knife. I believe the CKC stands for Cumberland Knife Club. Bob made several knives for them.

Howdy B N, I've been working on that for a long time. By luck I got a ZTE phone model Z233VL from w mart. You don't need to put minutes on it. It comes with a USB cable. Plug it in to your PC and it should download the driver. Check out my post on 75th annv. Schrade. That's what I used.
