Case XX Slimline Trapper. If I remember correctly, I received it in one of the POS exchanges. But then I could be wrong about that. Sorry, I just can't remember. This Schatt & Morgan was from their first go around (draw a big circle around) 1910.

It's all I have Joe.

Here are two older ones to add to the show and tell. A Case Tested XX and an E.K. Tryon (a Philadelphia maker). I bought the Case at the recent NCCA knife show in MA. The Tryon, which is near mint, I acquired years ago from Mike Losicco (aka Galvanic1882).

Tryon is an interesting company that began in 1811. Over most of its history it was primarily a maker of firearms. It also made, contracted, and imported (from England) knives, mainly Bowie and other fixed blade knives. Over the years Tryon made everything from hardware, to bicycles, to sporting goods (boxing gloves, fishing tackle, baseball equipment, golf clubs), and even wooden powder kegs. It closed in the 1950s. Here are two histories of Tryon:

Joe, I also like the slim trappers, really like the old ones that have the saber clip blade. Here are a few I have, a Schrade and a Sta-Sharp which is Camillus, a KeenKutter which I'm pretty sure is Schrade, a GEC, another Schrade, and a no name which I'm pretty sure is Winchester.

Don't know that I had ever thought of the easy openers as trappers but they do favor the pattern and they sure are slim. Here's mine.

Robeson made some slim trappers, some of which were very much similar to the Case 048 pattern.
