Found another.. 22087.. 2012..

Picked up one of those on the cheap in 2015 (it's a 2000). The shield was missing so I contacted Case. They sent one out, I epoxied it in and Voilà. Good as new.

The color red is a major weakness of mine.

Ya think? I don't see a medium jack there. Did no one make one in red? You'll have to get one and send it off to get it rehandled in RED.

The size of these jacks are right in my sweet spot, but I like a Clip main blade and a Sheepsfoot secondary - not many to pick from. Bought this one from Jeff’s AAPK store this morning - his custom build from Schrade 34OT parts, and his picture. OH

Couldn't find a Buck for this little pile so I had Elvis pull the sheepfoot blade out of a Buck 303 and rehandled it. It was a three spring so he dumped the spring as well and it looks like it was made that way.

That's a nice conversion Jerry - especially nice with the bone handles. Don't think it would work for me due to the placement of the nail pull. OH

Got another bottom dweller. I found this old Anvil in the middle of the road in front of the courthouse in Springfield Tn.. probably 25 or 30 years ago. Was driving slow looking for a place to park and said to myself dang that looked like a pocket knife, no one was behind me so I stopped, backed up and open door and picked it up. It has no shield but is one sharp little bugger.

There are a lot of stockman's on eBay but not many 2 blade Jacks. There's something about the handle on that knife that sucks me in.

Steve, I doubt that's anywhere near all of them. It's just the ones I know about because they're in my pile.

Couple more Schrade USA - the 72OT is a bit short at 2-7/8" but fits in the hand a bit better than a Case Peanut (maybe due to the sawcut Delrin scales). The 93OT Wrangler is about as close to a perfect Jackknife as any company has offered (uses the Uncle Henry 897 frame). OH

This Craftsman ACA 95024 is another favorite EDC (carrying it today). Looks like a Schrade USA 34/33OT frame with SS blades. OH

Colonial Stainless Steel DC-610 Dogleg Jack (like a peanut but scaled up). I bought this one back when Bonfire Bob was alive and gracing our pages with his extensive knowledge of Colonial Knives. One of the best built "shell" knives I've ever handled. OH

Colonel, I apologize for showing my ignorance but I'm not familiar with those models. Are they in that 3-1/4 to 3-3/8 sweet spot?

Jerry, the Schrade 897UH frame length is 3-9/16” but slim, with rounded bolsters, and lightweight. I really like that size, carries the same as the wider, square bolstered 3-3/8” 33/34OT frame. The Craftsman is 3-3/8” OAL. I need to measure the Colonial, but memory has it at 3-1/4”. OH

I may need a ruling from the judges on this one ... my favorite 87's are the opposite ended versions (quite a bit slimmer) - not technically a jack, but the same frame & blades --->

What's the closed length on those John? Are they 087's?

Never mind. Found 'em on Shepherd Hills. You'll have to excuse me. I'm as dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to Case knives. (Sad thing is I even have an 87 ) It appears that they came in both configurations, both blades at one end and a blade at each end.

It even comes in a stockman pattern. How in the world do they know what they're talking about when they have three different patterns, all using the same pattern number?

Case 22087 Serpentine Jack from 2010 (I call this one a Rhode Island Jack - the polar opposite size wise of my Case 6292 Texas Jack). OH

Some knives are bigger than their size indicates. The Case 6214 swell-end jackknives measure 3-3/8" OAL but carry like a 3-1/2" knife. OH
