John, I think you may have just started another one of the all-time great threads here. I never thought I might get introduced to new brews on AAPK, but what the heck! P.S.- Buster wants to know if he can join? :D

Sure Herb, he can play with the kitties while we talk knives. ๐Ÿคญ

Ike, I'll trade you a Starr Hill for a Leinie. ::handshake::
That would be a new one for me, I know the name but is not available in this area. Dark Starr Stout sounds quite palatable!

We've only had Yuengling in our stores down here for about 4 or 5 years now. Many years ago I used to go TDY quite often to York PA. Found out about Yuengling's Black and Tan. Still have one occasionally. I also like some of the south of the border brews. Not crazy about corona, but I do like some Modelo Especial with some lime.

And itโ€™s going on 9 pm, and got thirsty . Great topic !

I am going to make it up to the Leinie Lodge one of these days. I wanna stop by there on my way up to drive Hwy 61 along Lake Superior before I kick the bucket!

Klements is a great brand , theyโ€™re MSG and gluten free. Our fridge usually has a couple of packs in there. They make a variety of sausage and brats ,but we like the good ol plain brat.
Beer and brats, sounds like a picnic at Irving park ,next to the lodge, might be in order. Need to eat lunch somewhere on your way up to Hwy 61.

We're Leinie's fans also but I'm pretty sure the guys we're watching the superbowl with will have scored a case of Spotted Cow out of Wisconsin. I'll post a picture if the did.

Amen to Friday after 5:00!

Starr Hill Little Red Rooster Coffee Cream Stout, another nice Winter brew, pairs well with knifing too. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Looks delicious, Ken. Burgers, hotdogs/brats and pizza are about the best brew pairings. ::tu::

Hard to argue with any of the choices. I like these.

But I'll drink whatever is being served. ::tu::

I don't have any right now, but if you can get your hands on some St. Arnold Oktoberfest - it's one of my favorites.

It is made by one of our local brewers in Sioux Falls, Fernson. Tastes a lot like the candy bars did back in the day! The can states "pastry stout with chocolate, lactose, vanilla, cherry and raspberry puree, 8.8% ABV"

Love the bottle cozy, John. ::tu:: I really need one of those.

I'll post some pics of my favorite brews later today after I get back from the store (I drank up the last of my supplies while watching the "Suberb Owl" yesterday). Beer is literally the only thing that makes watching American Football remotely tolerable for me...and even then it's gotta be a fairly interesting game and beer that has a relatively high alcohol content! ::tease:: ::cb::
