A good time was had by all!! I'm happy, Barry's very happy, and the seller was happy, great day!! I only wish I had had more money, we left some goodies behind.

Dang what a show!! Best I've seen in a year. Congrats guys, I think that's a better variety of knives than you see at most knife shows.

Gene you're absolutely right about Mystic. I hadn't heard that it was cancelled again, darn that's really disappointing!

I was able to snag a really nice Schrade Cut Co folding hunter and a few very rare Canal Streets. Had my hands on a couple of nice old Sheffield small fixed blades that I found in the box behind the table in the back room, but unfortunately at that point I was already broke. I'm super happy with the Schrade though. The Canal Streets were icing on the cake as I had only planned on buying just one good old knife. There were more beauts by some of the other old New England shops but I try to concentrate solely on the Walden and Ulster area makers. I'll post a few pics tomorrow.

You guys really found some astounding pieces, and I mean every one of them.

To Gene And Barry, thank you for posting pictures of your finds. Wish I could have been at the sale ,but I think would have only been a spectator judging by what you guys brought home. Gene I think your farmers jack and Barry’s King of the Woods are my favorites.

Thanks Steve!! There were plenty more in used condition but we ran out of money. I had to leave a Carrier hawkbill behind, it is well used. I'll try to get it for you if you like, and I still haven't dug out the serpentine Carrier jack I promised you but it will happen. I think there are still well over 200 knives left in the collection.

Gene thanks for thinking of me with Carrier Cutlery items. Because of the rarity of them I’m willing to consider any condition the knife is in.
I think the Lehigh knife show in Easton is still on in April. Hope to see you there. Steve B.

Some how, it looks like I missed on of the knives in the bunch. The condition is not up to snuff, but the pattern is so unusual I just could not leave it behind.
It's a Miller Bros Gun Stock stock man 4" closed. I am now on the lookout for a better one.

I'm jealous of every single knife posted by Gene & Barry. Any one of these would be the high light of my humble poor mans collection.
Barry, last pictures on page 2, the pearl 4 blade Senator, is it the Holley ? does it have sunk joints ?

Roland, Yes sunk joints milled brass liners 3 1/2" closed. Fit and finish second to none. Looks like it was barley used with the original factory edge.
All blades stamped HOLLEY MFG CO LAKE VILLE.
Gene and I were lucky to be allowed to be early buyers from this large collection. I am grateful to my buddy Gene to invite me along. This was his connection.

Just as a side note there was a large Folding Hunter with a bone handle, blood grove blade & folding guard that we left behind. Marked Carl Schlieper.

Barry that's a fantastic gunstock! The shape is so much more prominent than what you see on more modern versions.

Here's the Schrade Cut Co folding hunter I was able to snag. Not minty, the blades have some scratches and very light pitting, but they're as full as they can be without being unused which is pretty darned hard to find in this pattern. I'm super happy:
