It still is. I have just added a new aspect to the hobby. I simply string the scammers along, asking for more pictures, a better description, close ups of ricasso stamps. Eventually, they catch on and quit answering me.

I haven't been contacted by pocket knife scammers yet, but when I get phone calls about my cars warranty I string then along trying to get a warranty on my '85 Ford F150, with 172,000 miles on it. Basically I try to tie up the phone lines and keep 'em talking until they get frustrated and hang up on me. Feels much better than yelling at them.

Start sharing how much Jesus loves them. Most will hang up right away. If not, you get a chance to share the gospel.

Some of that guy’s stuff is hilarious. The one where he reports the female radio weather reporter for exposing her breast on the air had me nearly rolling on the floor laughing.

“I don’t understand sir. You say she exposed herself on the air? Did she say anything about it? How do you know?”

“No she didn’t say anything, she just did it.”

Beware
jill90
mikescott6678@gmail.com
PM received by new non supporting member jill90 today to one of my old want ads asking me to email at mikescott6678@gmail.com. I always have a red flag go up with new non supporting members, after checking the internet for the username and email I found nothing with the username but found multiple scam complaints with the email.

Tying up the phone line is a great strategy. My personal favorite is to use a canned air horn like those used at sports events or on boats. I give them a long blast, and with any luck, have their ears ringing for a week. I’ve yet to have any of them call me back !

I recently received this on a thread where I was looking for Johnston USA knives. I received 1 picture (which I found on line) & no other pics. He then cussed me out when I refused to send money via PP friends and family.

Just got a message from ther457 with the following:

"You must have missed the post of louis09 about ther457 for sale some days
ago... I asked him about it and he said it's still available with him.
Here's his Email mikescott6678@gmail.com"

I can't seem to find any posts by louis09 or ther457 (tried but not good at proper searching methods).

Glad I saw the email address on this post...

Member ther457 joined today at 7:56 PM and as of now has made no posts. I could not find a louis09. ::paranoid::

An online search finds several reports of that email address linked to scams or attempted scams.
