John, you could throw in a Virginia AT Trail hike while you're in the area. One year I went to the show on a Saturday, hit a recommended German restaurant for dinner, got up early and skied half a day at Wintergreen and then went to a Nats baseball game. Just happened the snow was plentiful that year and the Nats had a home game scheduled.
You are making it sound better and better!!1967redrider wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 3:59 pmJohn, you could throw in a Virginia AT Trail hike while you're in the area. Harrisonburg, VA, the Rockingham County Fairgrounds, right off of I-81. Let me know if you need anything else logistically. I think you would love the Old Rag hike, but it's about a 10 miler I believe.
Do you set up there? Or do you just attend and walk around?1967redrider wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 4:49 pm
Normally, yes. And I hope it is a normal show. Ryan Daniels and his wife are usually there.

I actually just spoke with Ryan today on the phone. I told him I plan on coming to the show and will be sure to talk to him and Courtney. I'm not sure which day I'm going, but it would be nice to introduce myself to you also if we are there the same day.1967redrider wrote: ↑Sat Feb 12, 2022 1:18 amRookie wrote: ↑Fri Feb 11, 2022 8:47 pmDo you set up there? I just attend, buy, browse and chat. Ryan and Courtney usually have a couple tables.

Yes he will be there. I had a job change and have just been bogged down with things over the past 6 months. Don't have as much free time or extra cash to travel like before. Hopefully 2024 works out better for me, as I really enjoy going to shows, talking with folks, and seeing what knives are out there.1967redrider wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 1:43 pm Sorry to read this, Carl, but thanks! Ryan will be attending?
I'm sort of bummed I won't make it this year. It just didn't make the cut, as I wanted to try out some new shows I've never been to. I'm going to Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Kentucky, Little Valley, and my local Titusville show this year.1967redrider wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 11:48 am April 5th and 6th, who's going besides Herb and me?

You will be missed, Carl. But I bet Ryan will be there?
