The paperwork inside mentions celebrating the Bi Centennial and there is a 1974 on said paperwork. So I'm guessing the 70's. Thanks.

A couple of very nice Bokers ya got there GSP! I really like that pick bone.

On a side note, I've noticed that a lot of Boker knives seem to lose their shields. I haven't taken the time (yet) to research if it is confined to a specific time frame.

Sasquach, I have seen a couple of threads on the lost shields... I have a couple myself and on Monday I sent an email to Boker customer service trying to get an answer on getting new shields ::hmm:: so far no response :x

I love those Boker stockmen... and I love the bone puts on there knives, they are great blades... just a mystery why they lose such lousy glue! ::shrug::
Although it was also a problem in WWII for them in making a good glue ... and that is why they could not copy the British Mosquito effectively ... ::hmm::

They could solve the problem by pinning the shields. Or get some Gorilla Glue. You'd think they would address the problem if it occurs so frequently.

This one lost the shield in my pocket years before I started seriously collecting. If you look closely you can see that I didn't glue it back in correctly. I couldn't remember how it was positioned so I did what looked right. From the factory the top of the shield emblem faces toward the front bolster.
