Is it not true that a previous owner of Case produced a number of these?????

Parker made 25 cent, 50 cent, 75 cent and $1 knives, but IIRC they were a different pattern. Not a "boy's knife" pattern.

In the CASE CLASSICS series, there was a set of four toothpicks, all different sizes, with the 25 cent through $1.00 stamps as Ken mentioned. Thse are each clearly marked with the year made, and they are well nown enough that collectors know what they are.

Mumbleypeg wrote: Wed May 28, 2025 1:26 am In my case the seller’s description stated the knife was in “as new near-mint condition.” The pictures looked good. When I got the knife in-hand it was obviously buffed, two of the three blades were totally lazy and had to be manually pushed to closed position. I immediately re-wrapped the knife, returned it to its shipping packaging and requested a return. The seller’s responses were always at the last possible day - if eBay said I should receive a response from the seller within 5 days (I don’t recall the specific time period) the reply was on day 5. The knife was returned, with tracking. A subsequent message said he needed “more time to get the money”. Again on the last day allowed by eBay, I received the refund.

I waited until after getting the refund from eBay, then the negative feedback I left simply checked the boxes provided by eBay, and added the comment “item not as described”. No comments about the seller, nor anything else.

Not long thereafter I received the first of several inflammatory and argumentative messages from the seller, berating me for leaving negative feedback, and calling me a crook. Said if he had known I was going to leave negative feedback he would have presented evidence he had that I had tampered with the knife. ::shrug:: The gist of his anger was “you got your money back” so therefore the feedback should have been positive. I never replied to any of his messages. My one and only message was the request for return. I was done with him. And as I said, within a month my feedback disappeared. How and why it was removed I do not know.

In all the years I have bought items on eBay I have only left negative feedback twice.

No, in the past you could go to arbitration if you were willing to pay the fee, but they no longer allow that. I have had 3 or 4 experiences trying to get bad feedback removed and haven't had any luck. Unless it's something like the buyer is blaming you for slow delivery and the tracking shows you did your part or else they're trying to extort you and ask for a partial refund in exchange for removing the feedback then they don't seem willing to listen to me for very long. They do not allow name calling like liar, cheat, or fraud, so I imagine A I removes them.

I never buy or sell on ebay.
I found it amazing that guys constantly complain about everything ebay, but continue to use the platform. It must not be to bad or you would stop using it. This post is not aimed at anyone specific.

I too am done with eBay as both a seller and buyer. I’ve also found that searching sold items for price checking has become less and less reliable than it used to so I’ve even ceased that use case. I guess when I think about it, I’m done with eBay unless I’m pointed at a specific item by a friend or forum post. I believe the dishonesty factor has made the site no longer viable for me. RIP eBay

Back to the OP topic, here are pictures from Witcher’s Counterfeiting Antique Cutlery of stamps typical of the Parker-made Case Classics versions. Note as Steve said they have the year included in the tang stamp, plus they are toothpick patterns. No way any of these would be mistaken as an old TESTED era version.
