Heard a comedian say, the other day, "I like my coffee like I like my women... cold and bitter".

I actually started Saturday and supposed to report again this Wed, Fri & Sat.
The price of gold and silver are crazy. To think a dime from 1964 or before is now worth $1.70 blows me away.

A few years back, probably in the 80's?, when gold and silver took off they were paying 22X face value for silver coins

Morning folks! I ain't had the first cup yet, but headed that way. The wife is filling in for the office help at a local doctor's office, and I have boy duty (7, 5, & 2), so I ain't had time for coffee yet. Interesting, and fun week ahead of me! I need coffee!
Great news on the job Scott! My wife had an interview last Friday for a teaching position. I sure would appreciate a few prayers as you down your morning coffee, we could use it!
We've had rain from last Thursday through Sun. Man we needed it! Thank the Lord!

Good mornin' gents. When my daughter came up this past weekend to pick up my grandson, she brought me some decaf Colombian K-Cups. Mmm, pretty tasty.
Busy day planned but it doesn't start for a couple more hours so I may as well hang around here and catch up on the latest.
Wishing a good day for all.

Everyone have a great day!

Oh God, Ray. I had forgot about "saucerin' 'n blowin'" your coffee. We are most definitely card carrying codgers.
Scott -- Since one of my cousin's retired, he gets together with his buddies every morning at the restaurant and his wife says all they talk about is how much rain they've had or haven't had.
Edit: Well I'm not all that thrilled with this Columbian coffee. I think I'll just stick to my Highlander Grogg.

I miss small towns. Not that Rockford is a large city (only 150,000) but something around 2,000 is more my size.

Back to a more normal schedule here in LA(lower Alabama-Florida Panhandle) this fine morning. Coffee on the front porch with my wife as usual. Finished up the sweet corn yesterday morning and now it's only a few 'maters, peppers and okra. Everything else is done for the season. Had 0.65 inch of rain last evening and that keeps the deer plots growing. Now that the garden is over them ol' "honey dos" are already popping up. I need to go back to work so I can rest! Doesn't seem like there are enough hours in the day anymore. The grass keeps growin' and I guess that's job security. Bought a new mower in the spring and it already has 39 hours on it. Y'all have a Blessed day! Treefarmer

Howdy gents, I missed the morning roundup, I was out using my big knife early to beat the heat (Husqvarna 55 18 inch bar). Now that thing will whittle! I've got the boys down for a nap and I'm sure thinking about that afternoon coffee now!
Jerry the little town I live in now has all of about 800 people in it and that's too big, so we bought a place back out in the country. Still, I know most of the folks here in town and it is nice in some aspects. We know when one is sick, or having a hard time or when someone has been successful. We share out of our gardens and raise plants for each other, take each other supper when someone is sick, and in general know everything about everybody. I kind of like that part of it.
Thanks for the good thoughts TrippleF. I appreciate it!
BTW, here we call those local morning coffee hang outs the "Lying, coffee, drinking club". Of course that don't apply here.

I know it looks like I'm a little late but I was up at 0200 and I tried to be quiet so I didn't wake y'all up. Went back to bed about 0300.
We got rain during the darkness of the night!!!!!

I stepped out on the front porch to admire the rain and a juvenile raccoon ran across the bottom step.

Where's my gun when I need it. Little rascals get into the garbage.
