Just got back from a week long vacation in Jamaica. We left here in a snow storm, -30 degrees, and landed in +30 degree (celcius) weather. Beautiful sunshine all week long...now back to reality. A group of good folks that we met up with, that were flying to Atlanta, had their flights cancelled...messed up weather for sure.

After the past couple months of perpetual winter, here in the mid-Atlantic no less, the last 4 days have been extremely spring-like. BUT, rumor has it winter will be returning shortly! ::ds::

Just got around to reading this thread. Sounds like y'all had a time of it while Lawrence and I were gone.

I just took a look at the 10 day forecast and it appears we will be in the deep freeze until Memorial Day. ::barf::

Seems like we are all having the same forecast, just different temps. 77 degrees yesterday, 49 this morning and supposed to be below freezing Thursday morning here in LA ::shrug:: . We've had several snows in the Florida panhandle during the month of March in the last 40 years, winter ain't over till March 20 anyhow  .

Cubs open their regular season in Pgh on March 31st. Do we need to bring the snow blowers?

We've used up more firewood this year then the past 4 years combined. Had to go cut, split and stack another cord again today! ::facepalm::
Looks like we're in for another one, two punch startin' tonight, then again sunday night into monday. Forecast's are all over the place, but some talk of major ice accumulations. We've been down that road before! :x

whitebuffalo, I don't even feel eligible to post a comment after looking at your pictures  . We had a big weather event for our area, we had 29 degrees and a big frost this morning ::shrug:: . Watermelons should already be in the ground by now and in past seasons lots of corn would have been planted by now. Too wet and cold here in the Florida panhandle.

treefarmer ol' buddy, it's all relative. It just has been and continues to be a nasty winter for just about everybody. I can't count how many news interviews i've seen this winter, all across the country, where people are saying, "I don't remember ever having a winter like this".
I won't go quite that far, but I am tempted to go out and empty every can of hair spray I can get my hands on and see if I can't speed up this global warming thing just a bit. :D

I really should get out and run the snow blower to get that 3.5" we got yesterday off the driveway and sidewalks before it gets packed down and turns to ice BUT Jesus Pete, it's 3º out there.
