That is very possible, OH. My family is known for buying inexpensive pocket knives and carrying them for a while and then buying another. I thin the more expensive ones I have inherited have been gifts to them. 1960 era stuff was likely my Dad's. I may have missed out on most of my Grandad's. He was born at the end of the 19th century. I miss them both and fooling with these knives has made me think of them more often. That is a good thing.

I just realized that I've been forgetting to share. Here is the majority of this months haul. I think this has been my most prolific month for knives ever. ::facepalm:: ( Yes. I am completely broke now ::teary_eyes:: ::mdm:: )

Y'all remember old Grandpa Amos on the old TV show the Real McCoys? He had a sayin' "No Brag, Just Fact." I believe that also applies to Iron Hoarder when he says he "measures his collection by the ton". All the old tools are neat but what a haul of knives in a month!! Treefarmer

Cool. We can't have those over here. That Case rope knife with the marlin spike earlier is another one I'd like to get some day.

Pretty knife, nice grind.

Not my kettle of fish, so how does one date it to WWII?

And, how does it differ from a Balisong, or is that a brand, not a style?

Picked this one up for $12.50 at a pawn shop in Arkansas over the weekend. Never seen one stamped with Shapleigh Hrdwr. DE on the primary before. Secondary has the usual Geo. Schrade pats. '06, '07 and '10. It's in full working order! ::tu::

Tim, nice haul! Show us more of the EO (Imperial, Camillus, PAL, ??) and that little brass knife with the all the tools on the handle - inquiring minds want to know!

Thanks for the additional photos Tim. I think with a little time, some steelwool, and a lot of elbow grease you will have that EO looking like new and standing tall! I don't usually go for metal handled knives, but that little brass "tool" knife is really cool looking.

Those tool handle metal knives ARE pretty cool!

That EO looks like it could be a honey... 'cept the little blade seems to be nicked pretty bad...
Looking for the magic penny!
