Cool pic Scott, makes that main blade look like it's 8 inches long!

Accent on the flat ground blade, pre WWII IXL George Wostenholm farmers jack(aka rooster comb).
The flat ground blade was introduced by Wostenholm and Schrade as explained on page 86 Schrade Catalog E and Supplements. It's straight cutting lines enhanced grafting.
Shot in afternoon, inside on window sill. Table napkin background.Fuji S700 super macro setting,no flash.I think all this information is correct,I know the napkin and camera are.

Nice picture John. I always feel like I can't take any good photos outdoors when snow is on the ground, but you proved that wrong. Maybe I'll venture out this weekend and try a few.

I've been trying to find a different way to look at my knives, and this is what I tried today. My cocobolo Whaler and my 10" french knife, an every day user in the kitchen, seemed to go together. I had to pile pennies under the back of the french knife blade to get rid of the reflection of the Whaler's blade.

Knice job Rustle
It is fun to experiment w/setups then see camera's take on things.
One big advantage these days we don't have film development
costs to discover our rejects vs keepers ratio.
A few examples-played around w/trunklid reflections for awhile.
Another time finally figured out how to avoid undesirable
reflections in the bolsters.
