Okay, back on topic.

All pictures are from the listings on eBay.

I'm waiting on a couple I pulled out of the Bay. The first one is supposed to be here today. It's a '46-'50 Camillus #72 with bone handles. Yeah yeah, I know, I already have one but I just couldn't help myself. The price was so good and the condition looks to be excellent.

The second is a Montgomery Ward Powr-Kraft made by Camillus. The seller thought it was made by Schrade because it looks like the 863. I won't know what the Wards pattern number is until I get it but the Camillus pattern number is #80. That was the Deluxe Carpenter's and Whittler's pattern with nickel silver bolsters, liners and pins and jimping on the liners. The best I can tell, these were only made in the '60s. I've never seen one with the Powr-Kraft stamp so I'm very excited to get it. It too looks from the pictures to be in excellent condition.

Nice Jerry, if you keep adding variations of that Camillus Carpenters Whittler and it's offspring you will have them all - then you can write the next knife book (and I'll buy a copy too.)

Here you go fellers. My beautiful wife, all by herself, found this H. Boker & Co.'s Improved Cutlery (Germany) pocketknife and bought it for me! It just came in the mail today.

It has perfect half stops, snaps open and shut with authority too.

The guys at the pawn shop finally started giving me deals. I got these three for 15 bucks. One is Edge Co. three blade whittler and it is German made. One is Imperial a 2 blade jack. Last is a scout knife made by AL Cutlery Co. I think these may be wanted by some members. I may finally get to participate in an auction or an POS.

Correct Gino. I had been doing searches and coming up nothing. I will try PAL. The Edge seems to be a quality built knife but the blades seem thin. It has etching that says "Premium Stock Knife" on the primary blade. The secondary blades may have been a spey and a sheepfoot, making it a stockman. That's OK with me. That means I can keep looking for my 1st whittler.

I will got these cleaned up and researched and get back to the board when done.

pre 1972 is good news and the fact that there is another one out there is even better thanks tim I can't find anything on the web about it and was hoping I wasn't suckered but I'm pretty good at telling if they've been apart…..and the bail makes it even stranger to me but I'm a greenhorn heh

I posted these in the individual brand forums below but had such a great day out knifing today that I wanted to add them here too. I came across some real interesting knives. The Case Canoe is a 1999 CV with the Block shield (a favorite shield of mine), the Camillus Stockman is a 3-7/8" that was still NIB when I found it - hope its not celluloid, but haven't a clue - a clear plastic material with an colorful imitation tortoise pattern in the handles. The Fight'n Rooster almost got left behind, me not being knowledgeable in what "German" knife is made in China anymore, but the box looked aged even though the knife looked brand new - I took a chance and have gathered from my research so far that it is circa 1989, green pick bone, really was made in Germany, and is of the "celebrated" era. Days like today make me want to keep looking.
