Thanks jmh. Dave Mann was the best. I lost several boxes of Easyriders Magazine in a fire about 10 years ago. There was nothing like Spider's column and the Miraculous Mutha 8)

Give the Russlock a chance! It may not be the prettiest knife on the block, but once ya figure out the one hand opening, it sure is a handy knife to have in the pocket! You get the convienience of the one hand opener, while still being able to carry a more "traditional style" knife. I know, I know, the Russlock is a relatively new introduction from Case, but I do think it will stand the test of time....at first I was skeptical as well, but mine has really grown on me, and I carry it quite frequently...one of my favorite work knives.

Another day, another hardware store - this one off I-95 north of Fayetteville NC. Had a NOS discontinued Case Scout, the version made by Camillus for Case during their "last days" (2006 tang date mark).

Thanks for the compliments gents.

Cutty, I didn't make it to Hope Mills yesterday, just up and down US301 on the east side of Fayetteville, then back home to Greenville. If you make it up to Selma (an hour north of Fayetteville) the town is packed with collectible stores - the entire downtown. Also go to the Surf and Turf (a misnamed small engine repair shop) - they are the best stocked Case dealer east of Raleigh - 1000's of Case knives - located in downtown Selma too.

Found this one today at the local antique mall. No makers mark? Both blades are marked Pat Nos 2037943 2170337. It's 2 1/4". I am guessing Hammer after a little research but my guesses are usually wrong. It doesn't look to have ever been used and has good snap and the original box. I just couldn't leave it behind.

For the life of me I can't remember the name of the little shop in Hope Mills? It's downtown on the right just before the lake/pond, of which I can't remember the name of either?

Thanks JR ::tu::
