I found the Frankfurth and got a better picture. HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM.
A very pretty little LF&C Christmas tree. It looks like it is Outgassing. The sad part is it has nice etching on it.
I need to check with Glenbad and see if he could put some Mastodon I or bark on it. He did a great job with the stag on the big Shapleih. Let me know your thoughts and opinions on the OG knife.

I still have a lot of very nice knives of Dad’s left. Was doing some inventory check. Think I counted more than 30 Remington fixed blades alone.

Great showings ! So pretty but dangerous! Mastodon would look great on the O.G. Knife .My latest addition to the danger game just arrived today .1930-36 large 4 3/8 Closed Imperial jack knife with long pull .

Great question so I google it .lol looks like end of days was some marketing genius modern day ideal to sell more knifes using left over scrap material .

I put "end of the day" celluloid in the same category as "lunch box" knives.......bulls**t!!

This looks like someone broke up pieces off the floor of an automobile paint booth and polished it up. It’s beautiful.

I have two picture handle knives with names and towns on them, both from around 1910. One was even from the small town where I went to high school and the other from a small Northern Minnesota community that all but disappeared. I researched both, located descendants and got the history of the families and the knives. Both knives led me to people that I knew that had some sort of tie to the grandkids of the people named on the knives. I located a son of one of them who was 100 years old, lived in Chicago, and was as sharp as a tack, and told me the family history going back to Germany in the 1800's on up to when they lived near my hometown. One of the grandkids went to high school with my neighbor and another grandkid had coffee with one of my uncles every day in Southern Minnesota. Both have since passed away. It was a fascinating story that kept weaving in and out of the lives of people I knew. The internet has made a lot of information available that didn't exist a few years ago, and sure got my interest in picture handled knives with information printed under the celluloid.____Dave
