Thanks guys nicest old bone I've got in awhile--My nieghbor Rich give it to me can't wait to show it to him you couldn't even see the X's when he brought it down to me-says he's got a couple more he's bringin over that his grandfather give his dad--his dad is in his 90's so they're gonna be some oldies too

Happy Laborday;Hit a few fleamarkets this weekend got a mint Hammer brand and some rought ones.The two on the left are Hammerbrands then on the right is a I.K.CO over a SHEFFIELD pearl with sterling bolsters I believe,got to get home and clean up the tangs a bit

Still unable to upload pics. I know, what's the point of the message. Well, I'm just proud and happy with my score yesterday. Old Remington/U.M.C. Senator Whittler. Mdl # 6805, Bronze Pyremite ( celluloid ) handles. Main blade is a pretty full spear, secondary is a pen which probably was used the most, given that it has the soft snap, causing wear on the spring. Makes sense though to use the smaller blade for whittling. Third blade is a nail file. I know the risk's of celluloid, but I do keep them seperate from my other knives. So far as I examined the knife, all is clean, no signs of off-gassing. When and if I get this pic's problem solved, I'll have a lot of pictures to catch up on. Based on the design of the blade, swedge, bolster's, I think this knife probably date's to the early 1930's era. Other than the soft snap of the pen blade, the main snap's like an old hungry 'gator. Make hay while the sun shines. Pictured are 2 knives I purchased about a month prior to picking up the Remington I just showed. That isn't the direction of the knives when I shot the pic, but, whatever. The knife on the left is a Robeson Speyinf knife. The blade has etched on it " For cutting flesh only ". Model 211035, tang stamp dates in use from 1894 - 1948. Rosewood handles, and great snap. The knife on the right is Winchester over ~ Trade Mark ~ Model # 1632, Barehead Regular Jack. Tang stamp dates it's use 1919 to 1930 . Excellent snap on this knife as well. Cocobolo handles. Love them all. I feel fortunate to own these pieces of history , Bull

Bought this Bulldog Big Congress at a pawnshop yesterday. It was made in 1993 (thanks to Bob - robinetn for educating me on what I have found). First Bulldog brand knife and first Congress pattern knife that I have owned.

Nice one Tim! I like that Eagle Globe and Anchor on the handle...Marine Combat on the tang, very cool. Who is the maker on that one? Not a Kabar, maybe Ontario?

My daughter nagged me into it so I'm signed up on Facebook but seldom go there. It's so juvenile it gags me. Plus, it's nobodies business how many times I go to the bathroom each day.

I'm not technically stupid. Worked with computers all my life, from large mainframes down to PCs and networking so I can find my way around without hurting myself or someone else. Just don't have enough interest to become proficient on Facebook.

I don't have a quarrel with those who do, it's just not for me. My family says, "You'd know about that if you would go on Facebook." I just give them the evil eye and say, "That's what my phone is for."
