You're always welcome for any positive observations I may make, Garry, I only hope you never take anything I post as a put-down in any manner cuz they never are, they're just simple observations. But you know the deal about computer spoken as opposed to face-to-face spoken, sometimes true meanings get misconstrued and feelings get bruised, and that's what I try to avoid.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2024 10:57 am Marco, I never reflected on the idea that I avoid sinister-looking knives. But now I see that you are correct. I may have one or two buried somewhere around here. I'll have to look. At any rate, thanks for the observation.
Well TMK....
Once the sympathy we have for Marco almost dying wears off, I'm sure you'll be back on your A game again, TOPDOG! Then it might get crazy up in here!GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 11:16 pmWell TMK....one day you're king of the hill

Love ya' Marco!
I keep meaning to ask you, Dog, is that a picture, or an actual miniature of the Time Machine?GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 11:40 pmTMK,toomanyknives wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 11:26 pmOnce the sympathy we have for Marco almost dying wears off, I'm sure you'll be back on your A game again, TOPDOG! I am even thinking about dusting off the 'Ol Time Machine and going back a little while BEFORE
Marco's brush with the Grim Reaper...
Just so I won't feel any pity for him
... and THEN the kid gloves will come off!!!

I like some of the models Gerber puts out, G-351, and yours is one of them.Gtrclktr-351 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 11:43 pm To be perfectly honest, I really don’t need to carry a knife every day. But since I subscribe to “Jethro Gibbs Rule #9”, my daily carry is almost always my little, lightweight Gerber US-1.17321E2F-3821-48D2-800E-9AF7D1DCBE8D.jpeg
Occasionally I will feel the need for a fifth pocket carry and will reach for my Gerber Dime.B505F0F6-7ABC-4069-8831-0C951DBBEE9B.jpeg
And it isn’t unusual to find me sitting around playing with one of my many “flippers” or some other “fidgety” spring assisted or axis lock until the wife complains about the incessant “clicking”.
Well there are 2 solutions. But since we’ve been together over 50 years, I opt for solution number 2: Just buy another knife, or 3 and a new storage case to put them in. She’ll get over it.
We'd be in a world of hurt, Marco!Madmarco wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 4:58 amWell I sure hope so, buddy!toomanyknives wrote: ↑Wed Jun 05, 2024 11:26 pmOnce the sympathy we have for Marco almost dying wears off, I'm sure you'll be back on your A game again, TOPDOG! I mean, where would this entire forum be without me?![]()
, eh!
Yep, that definitely is a viable solution, not the one I was thinking of but still suitable, and one I'm sure you've used many times over your 50+ yrs. together! lol!Gtrclktr-351 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2024 7:24 amWell there are 2 solutions. You're such a bad boy, Dog, "Bad boy bad boy whatcha gonna do whatcha gonna do when they come for you", only you could have a problem with Scooby-Doo and crew!
Thank you. It’s not only been “thick and thin”. Had I not found her I would now be incarcerated or dead. She saved me from a “wasted life”. And she has stayed by my side “in sickness (mine) and health”. She is definitely my “better half”. And to paraphrase Wayne and Garth, “I’m not worthy.”
No PMs between you two, please!!! Reading this sandbox/spitting/arm wrestling/other contest everydayMadmarco wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2024 8:16 pm Oh my, don't do that,Dog, can you just imagine
how boring we'd be if we cutout our playful banter? I can!

Even though we sortta consider this thread as "ours", if history serves, I bet someone will complain about all the cross-talk we're doing, and they might be right, but I for one can't imagine doing what we're doing in a PM!![]()
Now stop messin' around and get back to work!!!![]()

Many thanks Mark! I went over to Mail Call .. you have a very nice dagger collection. Hard to pick a favorite out of those!Madmarco wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 3:03 am I'm glad you don't object to our foolin' around, Tony, the occasional member gets upset over it, but since it seems only a few members participate in this thread we do it to pass the time, and hopefully don't upset anyone.
I'm also glad you posted your new dagger here, I saw it in another thread and was going to comment on how gorgeous it is but got distracted and forgot. Actually, you might want to go back to "Mail call" and read what I did post, some nice eye-candy in there.
I'm a big dagger fan, and I haven't seen yours prior to now, it looks great and I bet feels wonderful to handle.
Nice catch, buddy, congratulations on a fine score!
