Thanks Joe. Stamps on the Remington are worn (or light). Looks like it’s an R6755 pattern. I think they called that green Pyremite.

Yes, I think that is Pyremite. (I hope you spelled that right, I followed you.) :mrgreen:

I didn't see the Clauss. That is very nice too. Can we attribute the covers to Mr. Winterbottom?

Joe, that’s a beautiful MOP Keen Kutter! Hard to find MOP with shadow bolsters that aren’t cracked.

Yes, it’s Winterbottom.

Interesting knife. There’s a picture of one just like it (Winterbottom also) on page 143 of Sargent’s 7th edition, in the “Case Family Brands” chapter. The knife is stamped as a pattern # 33 which matches the description in Sargent’s. I bought the knife mainly because it is a whittler pattern, but also thinking it was made by Case. Steve Pfeiffer said he thinks it’s a Queen, and after examining the construction I believe he is right. Although it looks superficially like a Case 83 pattern, its construction is different than Tested era 83’s. However it’s also different than any Queen whittlers I have, although I don’t have any Queens of that vintage to compare. ::shrug::

There have been super nice knives posted here.

One of these contributions (Case Tested XX 6376 1/2) was posted about 4 years ago. The knife is the same but the pictures are better so I'm reposting it. Its stag counterpart Case Tested XX 5376 1/2 is a new contribution.

One more new arrival. IXL whittler with file work. The knife has great walk and talk. Only issue is the broken scale at one end. I will repair it in the near future.

British steel takes a wicked edge. I found that with my straight razors too.

Does this Waterville count as a whittler. The description when I bought it said Waterville half whittler. Thought you guys might like to see it anyways. Is there such a thing as Half Whittler? Thanks for looking! :)

I’m not sure what what it is called Wood Walker, but it’s a good old maker and a good looking knife. I really like the pattern for sure ::tu:: ::tu::

That is a very nice knife woodwalker, and a very desirable stamp.

"Half whittler" is not a term I would use.

I think your knife is a Wharncliffe pen.
