Took a little side trip down Wheat Street today and discovered a very tasty IPA. They do things in their own unique way in Seattle and I like it.
(Didja notice the sneakers hanging from the street sign?)

I've sampled the Spotted Pig Bitter when I lived in (upstate) NY...and you are absolutely correct: it is a supremely tasty brew. Man, does that bring back some good memories.
Another delicious mainland beer that I sorely miss is Dock Street Amber Ale (Philadelphia, PA)...MmmmMmmmMmmm!!! (I wonder how many mini trappers it would take to convince John/jmh58 to ship me a case?)

Glad to hear you've tried it and liked it too, Q. If I could only have 1 beer, that's the one I'd go with.

You clearly have a much more exciting life than have I, 1967rr, I am sooooo jealous

Glad to know you're staying well-hydrated.
One of my great loves in life before I moved to HI was going to live baseball games at home-team stadiums. I never had a goal to attend a professional baseball game at every baseball stadium in the USofA, like some people do (a worthy goal, IMHO); however, for the record, I have attended a few home-team games at home-team stadiums over the course of my life--either intentionally or by accident (some of them multiple times) including: SF Giants (at the old) Candlestick Park, LA Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles (Cal Ripken Jr. 1987), Oakland A's (Reggie Jackson 1972), Minnesota Twins, Toronto Blue Jays (Danny Ainge 1980

), and then there are the many, many (too many to recall) minor league baseball games I've been to as well...mostly the High Desert Mavericks in Victorville, CA

).
The one thing that has been consistent throughout all my "diamond-watching" is....wait for it...yup, you guessed it...BEER!!! (and popcorn and, yes, OK...a hot dog or two...but, mostly, BEER!!!

)
Beer and Baseball just seem to go together...like Beer and Barbecues...and Beer and pizza...and Beer and (fill in the blank).

Oh, and lest you forget...beer also happens to make a perfect dessert beverage as well.
Consider this pairing: one bite of fresh, white pineapple followed by a swig of beer = the flavor of Gold Cliff IPA (ABC 7.2%). Then, follow that up with one of my wife's 'special'

brownies (double dark chocolate chunk...oh yeah!

). Life is good!

RR I used to have a cap just like that, probably still do in the boxes that contains my accumulation of hats.

Vented and nice light weight, perfect for a warm Summer day.

This morning was gorgeous, took Peonies to the cemetery and did some odd jobs around the farm. Now it's 70° and raining, so I guess it's Beer Thirty.

I gotta agree with John, you are a bad influence, John...now my regular Bud Light seems somewhat lacking without the lime twist!

Cumberland craft brewery, Dig Deep, really good beer.
They usually have several beers to choose from, offer flights as well so you can sample them all and get a crowler or two of your favorite to go.
