Another beauty, TOPDOG!
My goodness, I certainly can see myself liking that knife, Dog, I love the shade of blue and guess which version I'd go for!
Thanks much, Tony, those daggers are the models I like most, I do have a bunch of others but I'm not as fond of them as the models I posted. I have a few very nice bowies as well, and they actually are posted in this thread somewhere, if you read my original post all those pages back, I stated that this thread is for ANY knife that provides you comfort in any way, so yah, post yours here if you like.Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 9:33 amMany thanks Mark! I went over to Mail Call .. you have a very nice dagger collection. Hard to pick a favorite out of those!Madmarco wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 3:03 am I'm glad you don't object to our foolin' around, Tony, the occasional member gets upset over it, but since it seems only a few members participate in this thread we do it to pass the time, and hopefully don't upset anyone.
I'm also glad you posted your new dagger here, I saw it in another thread and was going to comment on how gorgeous it is but got distracted and forgot. Actually, you might want to go back to "Mail call" and read what I did post, some nice eye-candy in there.
I'm a big dagger fan, and I haven't seen yours prior to now, it looks great and I bet feels wonderful to handle.
Nice catch, buddy, congratulations on a fine score!

My fixed blade collection is growing leaps and bounds ... will catch up posting them all some day. This would be a good thread to post them in.

I hear ya, Tony, all the feature that bring you comfort in your knives are the same for myself, starting with initial appearance, on to weight which is a big one for me since I don't much care for knives that feel light and/or unsubstantial, number of blades which must to be just 1 and only dagger or spear-point, although I can live with a nice drop-point, and finally how does it feel in my hand as I shift it around. If it has those qualities I'll usually buy it. Of course online shopping doesn't allow for experiencing many of those things, but after taking the chance on over 500 pieces along with eye-balling thousands more and having them arrive just how I imagined and wanted, I figure I'm doing O.K.!Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: ↑Sun Jun 09, 2024 12:55 amThanks Mark, I will post some here for sure.Madmarco wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2024 8:28 pmThanks much, Tony, those daggers are the models I like most, I do have a bunch of others but I'm not as fond of them as the models I posted. Reasons a knife will give me comfort range anywhere from looks, to weight (I like a heavier knife), to blade type, and how it fits/feels in the hand. All those makes me
I do have some that are "Comfort" simply for their looks, like smaller ones. But Man, those heavy fixed blades I post often, or CS folders like the 4 Max Scout do it for me.
The reason I have become so fond of the Seki Made Japan knives and ones made in Spain like Muela, is that they offer "Comfort" on most all those levels for me. Everyone has their preferences of course ... just thought this was a good opportunity to share mine.
CxIII, you said it about the products from Seki!Corn Creek Cutlery wrote: ↑Sun Jun 09, 2024 12:55 amThe reason I have become so fond of the Seki Made Japan knives and ones made in Spain like Muela, is that they offer "Comfort" on most all those levels for me. you got's to cut back on other superfluous expenses... such as food, shelter, electricity, gas and what not.... you know, things you really don't need.... well
at least not as much as more knives....
