Tom, my mom & dad gave me one of those Cub Scout knives for my 10th birthday, that was in 1977. I still have it, but the blade has little to no snap. I probably opened and closed it to death as a kid.

I had some PK's (4 or 5) of mine at home but in 2016 when my dad passed away, I gave them to my cousin Jason. At the time I did not know that I would start collecting PK's a couple of years latter. Most of them were just junky knives but one was an small Schrade OT Stockman. I also had 3 or 4 fixed blades. At least 2 maybe even 3 of which my father had hand made. Nice looking knives! I gave those to an Uncle. I didn't know at the time that I could have mailed them over here & my thought was, before they lay around & rust, I'll give em to somebody who will take care of them. I'm still kicking myself. Of course I could ask for them back but that's not my style. I don't give stuff away, then ask if I could have it back. Oh well, that's life I guess. You live & you learn & some lessons are more painful than others.

I still like to show my Jack Knife Ben JUNIOR SCOUT knife around.

Today, this knife joined my collection. It is a CAMILLUS, 3 blade, Boy Scout pocket knife with bail. It is the "75th ANNIVERSARY - BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA - 1910-1985 pocket knife. It didn't need any cleaning. I took a few pictures, here it is.

I've got a couple hundred scout knives in my collection but, (being the tightwad that I am) I've never been able to add that one to my collection. Congratulations for landing it and thanks for not being such a tightwad as I am.

Phil, When you say you have several hundred scout knives, would these all have the Scout markings or does your collection include non-scout utility/camping knives?

I'm not knowledgeable about Scout Knives, but your mop knife has to be a great catch and, I expect, rare. What company made this version?
