big monk: Next time you visit your deck and find knives out there, you know, all exposed and needing shelter well just...you know, I mean if you need to find shelter for them, you know, and you can't figure who left them there well, I mean, I can provide shelter for abandoned knives.

My light box is an inexpensive ($35) fold-up style I found on ebay. It came with two small lights on stands, but they aren't much help. It is setting on top of a desk in the computer room, under a flouresent(sp) light fixture which hangs by chains from hooks in the ceiling. It can be raised or lowered, and is in the lowest position now. The fabric around the top of the opening is a square of shower curtain held on with clothespins. I set the camera on a 2 second delay, focus, press the button and drop the curtain over the camera, covering the opening. It eliminates most reflections except of the camera. It also reflects light back into the box, requiring at least a 2 stop change in exposure. If I had more ambition, I could try cutting a slit in the curtain to poke the camera lens through. Included is a picture of the knife already set up in the box, one I won on another club site. Inside the box is a board I can drape different fabrics over for backgrounds.
