Mornin' Y'all

A request was made (sorta') for a hump day opening .. .. ..

Kinda pitiful that all I'm known for here is a silly catchphrase
::facepalm::

Any who ... pot has sang its song, and FCD springs to life one mo' time.
Two nights back at work, then the wife wants to attend a wedding this weekend.
Beach wedding, on the east side of a hurricane ... sounds fun, don't it .

Go flog your camel !!
Chris
i woke last night to the sound of thunder
how far off i sat and wondered
started humming a song from nineteen sixty two
aint it funny how the night moves

Good Mornin', Chris and David! Chris, in addition to being known for your silly catchphrase, "hump day", you could also known as the feller that don't check his E-mail. ::poke:: Glad to see you're posting once again and you need to check out the great ol' knife that David mentioned, it's a Queen City Jack.
Keeping an eye on the Delta Hurricane, it has apparently lost a bit of wind speed overnight as it is moving onto the Yucatan Peninsula. Steering currents seem to have it going ashore several states west of us. I've become a bit gun shy about hurricanes for some reason. Watched a video last night on one of the weather station concerning Hurricane Michael and it still tightens my gut. The video footage had comments from Tyndall Air Force personnel who rode it out. One of the Airmen said as they were monitoring the storm, the wind was 165 mph and when it blew their weather station apart! Y'all don't forget to pray for the folks who are and will be enduring this one. ::pray::
70 degrees this morning and a clear radar so far. We saw 89 yesterday for the high.
Almost dry enough to fluff up some food plot dirt, almost... ::hmm::
Y'all have a great Wednesday!

Mornin guys and gal. Another day in paradise here. Temp is 62º and it'll get into the high 80s this afternoon. I will make return trip to the dermo doc this afternoon to have surgery on a small skin cancer on my forehead. That should break up the monotony of the afternoon. It is all part of gettin' old I guess.
Hope your day is a good one. ::tu::

Good morning. WE are having summer again with 65 to 70 degrees and our painting job is getting done. Now all we need is two or three more months to get caught up on work. My Dr. appt. went good yesterday and it appears my hernia is holding even if it appears to me to not. The Dr. said it may hurt a little when I work a little harder than I probably should for my age and that any surgery can have some scar tissue that can cause some discomfort for some time. Back to the salt mines for me. have a great Wednesday.____Dave

Been up since 0500. Set the trash out for pickup and that's about the high-lite of my day. Ya notice they named them things Her-icanes and not Him-icanes. Ruminate on the meaning of that.

Morning all, good coffee this morning. Weather is warming to the 60/70 s, sunny and no wind . Good day to be outside maybe go for a motorcycle ride this morning . Then head over to Moms house to visit with youngest sibling ,my sister Lori is in town for a week. Haven’t seen her in some years, so got a bit of catching up to do. Mom is extremely happy as this is the first time we will be together along with our two other brothers. So today is full, and should be good day.

And hope you have a great day everyone, and watch your back out there.

PS morning Jerry ,Dave andQS , see you slid in while getting me another coffee.

Y'all have started calling us crayon eaters and since the Army has forever been referred to as "Doggies", thus the "milk-bone" reference. Get it? Huh? Huh? ::poke:: ::tease:: (Geez, ya gotta 'splain everthin' to Doggies)

Now, that said, if I have offended you, I apologize. From my end it was just more of that inter-service rivalry & name calling in good fun that's gone on forever. No offence intended.

Good morning everyone
I got home last night to find my landlord there, pulling the engine of the old truck. He told me that Bylaw wants to talk to him and he thinks it might be about my suite, which isn’t quite legal.
Then I went inside and discovered that I had water all over the bathroom floor, again, because the sewer burped. It’s not as bad as usual, but not good.
Between those two and the rats, it’s time to move.
Ray, my dad had skin cancers, courtesy of riding a forklift outside, shirtless, way before Safety was ever heard of. He just got the removed with no further trouble. The docs are pretty slick at it.
Stay out of the way of the weather, fellas!
Have a good and safe day everyone!
I’m too young to be this old!

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. I really appreciate them. I am kind of an old hand at these since I spent all my growing up years working at a swimming pool. That was way before anyone ever heard of any sort of sun protection.

Thanks again,

Morning all, and a hello to you Cudgee, hope you’re well and enjoying yourself. Got up early here in Wi.to head out to the woods and check out the deer traffic in the morning down by the creek bottom. The Bucks like this spot in the valley, it’s got fresh water and lots of cover. And having Corn and beans in the nearby fields helps. It’s early in the season so no hurry to stick one,but it’s the most beautiful time of year to be in the woods. After a morning of being in the wood have to go to DMV and renew some stuff. Then a nap maybe before going back out to hunt this evening.
Sounds like everyone is doing well! Hope all that live in the storms path will stay safe and sound.
Dave (In Mn.) is your hip healed up ,or you still limping around?
Ray, hope your treatment goes well, got lucky myself and no skin cancer after 40 years outside in the trades .
Chris, you bring more here than just the hump day report ,glad to see you stopping by.
Will leave the Coffee on and the door open , come on in and sit a spell ,have a good one folks ,and be safe out there.

Great minds think alike, was reading your post and we have something in common. When i used to hunt deer, i was just as happy going out with binoculars instead of my gun and do some scouting to see if i could find out where any were. Was just as happy to be out in the bush on my own, there is something about being out in nature with no one else around.

Hey Cudgee, how’s it going over there my friend?! Good to hear from you! As far as great minds, not sure about that on my end , but do agree ,being in the Bush ,alone ,out there on there home ground and watching the woods come alive with creatures of all kinds. Many times have even fallen asleep only to wake up and see animals all around me. Even had a wood pecker land right next to me last year. Life’s good, very grateful to be able to still do this at my age, hope to do have many more years.
Okay my friend ,it’s about time to get breakfast and gear up for the walk into the valley and my favorite tree stand. Take care and watch your back out there!
