This entire thread has shown some incredible knives and yours are equally nice. I't nice to see a group of various old makers together in one shot.

Charlie,
Gino would probably return him after a week or so. Although I do think Gino would be able to get Tyler in shape for football season? Tyler is a big kid for his age (6'1", 195lb at fourteen) but he could build up some muscle power. From the pictures I have seen, Gino knows his way around the weight room.

It is an older Boker, from the 20's if my memory serves me correctly. I personally like the bolsters.

I posted this in the PA knife thread, but I think it fits in here also. It certainly looks like it came from the era when Case Brothers owned Kane Cutlery. The pattern is really neat. Maybe a precursor to a copperhead?

That is cool TJ, I had it on the watch list, and I am glad you got it. American Shear is one of my favorites, but only have a couple, and none marked like that.

Thanks Brett. I'm really kind of surprized (though I don't know why) that the knife went so cheap. Only two bids, and at the same time. I mainly bought it for the stamp not really knowing it's pedigree. One thing that I've noted with the old USA brands is that the earliest stamps were arched, and that's kind of what attracted me to it.

We are tang stamp collectors too..... It is nice to get high condition knives, IF they even exist for some of the old stamps, AND you have lots of money!

Wouldn't exactly call this one "high condition", but worth the $23 to me for the rarity of the stamp.
