I think that this is a Swainson's Thrush that was migrating thru my area. Their Southernmost breeding range is a few hundred miles North of me, and I am not really familiar with this bird, anyone have a better idea?

Had a little altercation in the yard this morning, Mockingbird not happy with a Crow hanging around, this went on for nearly 10 minutes.

An immature male Summer Tanager, a Yellow-billed Cuckoo and a poor pic of a Painted Bunting from our walk this morning.

Some good ones, Floyd. Those immature Tanagers are good looking birds. Before I realized what they were, I saw one and immediately started searching reference sites for the unknown, exotic bird I had come across.
I am never able to get a pic of a Cuckoo, really enjoy hearing them calling.

Saw the first scissortail flycatcher this year, about a week ago. A sure sign that summer is here. One of our most beautiful, and interesting birds. They’re a little late this year. Or maybe I just haven’t been paying attention.

We have had a cooler, wetter than usual Spring though.

Thanks Ike, we usually hear them and not see the Tanagers. And the cuckoo's do have an unusual song.

Ken, they've been around here a couple of weeks already. Love it while they are here.

Thanks guys. I was about 20' away from the Bluebird house, playing with one of my grandaughters in the sandbox. The birds paid no attention to us with the male making several trips to the box with insects to feed the female.

A Mute Swan, probably released by someone as they are not native to US, and a Momma Red Shouldered with her chicks.
