That is a keeper TMK Here is one I picked up at an estate sale a little while ago. It has a very thick hefty blade. Very solid and sturdy. ... I wonder how old it might could be?

Wow, one little mention about how quiet it is around here, and you guys immediately step-up and fill the gap with some great knives and comments, thanks men, we wouldn't want the ole' CKT to get too far behind, then eventually slip into obscurity, now would we. I won't mention names, ya'll know who you are!


When I read that Kenny Rodgers had done that tune, Tony, it surprised me due to the nature of the song, you know, psychedelic, drugs, mind-bending, etc. I haven't heard K.R. sing it, but I'm sure I'd prefer the Zombies version mostly because of the wa-wa guitar work they do on it.

Seeing your cool new Explorer skinner, I can only assume you've been hanging out with Jacob again, Tony, good for you buddy, I can't think of a better place to be than there!


Your bowies are also quit impressive, Dog and Kerry, I don't know much about them, but Sheffield is a name you hear when dealing with a quality knife, and that sweet stag make the pair stand-up and be counted!

My 13" Black Label 160BL full-tang "Battle Bowie"! SS hardware and G-10 covers. If you're wondering if that handle is comfortable in-hand, it is, very comfortable!

My Columbia 12 1/2" full-tang SO54 bowie! Also SS hardware with highly engraved handle and G-10 inserts. Heavy, solid knife that I liked when I viewed it, and loved when I received it. There's just something about this knife I cant put my finger on, but I feel it every time I view, handle, or otherwise play with this one! I do believe if it had a mouth it would speak to me! The choils on these first 2 knives feel like they were made for my grip! I like it!

Taking up the rear is my United Cutlery Gil Hibben 13 1/2" "Highlander" full-tang bowie, which I assume eludes to either the Christopher Lambert movie, or, something otherwise Gaelic. Solid SS hardware and a wire-wrapped handle! I love the upswept blades on the 1st and 3rd knives! BIG and heavy, that's me!

Marco, great CK!!! I think the United Cutlery Gil Hibben's "bigg'ens" have a pretty strong following. I have had several in the past (I still have a couple) and they have been a popular "trade" item when I used to get-together with a bunch of collectors several time a year for a "trade-fest". A good value for the money
