The Cubs Brewers game yesterday was the first time in MLB history that both teams held a 7 run lead by the end of the 4th inning. Cubs scored 7 in the first, Brewers scored 15 unanswered.

Yeah, that was a real cluster-putz.

In the first half inning, the Brewers pitcher couldn't have pitched in Little League. In the rest of the game the Cubs couldn't have hit in Little League. Disgusting.

Congrats to the Mississippi State Bulldogs for their commanding play in games 2 and 3 to win the CWS.

It was the first CWS Championship for the Bulldogs in 11 CWS appearances.

It is also Mississippi State first National Championship in ANY sport.

We enjoyed watching the games. Have some good Mississippi friends that are big fans, so we were pleased with the series.

I was happy to see those boys win the CWS! It was a great series.

Games 2 and 3 were really well played and coached.

Congrats Bulldogs!

Starkville will be a mad house tomorrow. Celebration scheduled for Friday!

Yes they did. Should make you Reds fans very happy because not only did they sweep the Cubs, it moved the Reds up to second place in the NL Central.

It seems like getting two runs early is the kiss of death for them. However they tallied 7 runs in the 1st the other night against the Brewers and ended up loosing 7-15. Pathetic. Sigh.

They've lost the last 10 games. It's time to get on the stick and get something done. It's a lot harder to climb the ladder than it to fall through your annul orifice.

Pathetic is not a strong enough word for it. They (Cubs) are now 0-11. Gonna take a whole lot of moxie to crawl out of that hole.

I liked it a whole lot better when I could brag on 'em.

There is a lot of talk that the Cubs might be moving Bryant in the next 2 weeks before the deadline. What would Cubs fans think of that?

All I can give you is my personal opinion on the subject. I've never been a Kris Bryant fan so I don't give a rip. He was doing well until he got hit in the head with a ball and he got married. Then he wasn't worth a tinkers damn for 2 or 3 years. Now he's back on his pony so for all I care he can ride off to another city. Maybe they'll trade him to Washington and get Schwarber back although I doubt Washington would let him go.

The problem with you guys is you had higher expectations!

You could be Rangers fans and expect your team to finish at the bottom, and they’re on the way to fulfilling those expectations. At least they have a few young players to enjoy watching. They’ll probably trade them though, along with the only good veteran pitcher. The trade rumor mill has already started and ramping up daily. Several teams sniffing around Gallo and Gibson.

That and/or they’re like the Lastros were. About twenty years of finishing at the bottom finally got them enough high draft choices to be good for a while.

If so I hope they don’t have to cheat to win it all.

My Best Man and his wife were in town from Hattiesburg, MS for my dad's memorial service this past weekend, so we hit a Nats game last night. Won 18-1! Fun times. He bought me a Nats Carhartt hat, love it.

Cubs were trailing St. Louis 6-1 going into the 9th inning. Ended up beating them 7-6.

Cards should have left that pitcher in the parking lot.
