My plan was to buy it Monday so the anticipation would keep the monkey at bay. It's worked, but too well. The seller is putzing and hasn't even mailed it yet!
Monkey not pleased. The weekend is long.
May be the same seller. I believe it's called, "It's The Holiday Season so Expect Slower Shipping Everyone"! lol!

Im rich in many things, but money is not one of them. I do carry cash because small businesses prefer it, and credit card companies are vampires.
The antique store owners were happy to receive my intrinsically worthless paper money in exchange for this fine pile. Or 2. Alas, no Jaeger Bro's or Aerial in the lot.

Re: Comfort Knives!
That's quite the pile you found, TWKG, and perhaps you can tinker with them and build yourself 1 great folder, mind you, it looks like some of them are in great shape and ready to use already. When one acquires a pile of used knives the bad news is, they're used and not top-of-the-line, but the good news is, there's piles of them! lol!

While visually scanning my accumulation deciding which knife I want for today, this little number caught my eye, exactly the same way it did when I first saw it, so you tell me, who can resist that?
These Hubertus 10" "For Export Only" autos had a special package installed by Ritter Henning the owner of the factory in Germany, that included filework on the top false edge, NS hardware, and black micarta covers, and were deemed only available in Germany due to their blade length restrictions. The micarta covers were also available on the "Fish-Knocker" model, but that was it, the only other option was stag covers. Gotta go, it's calling to me now!Re: Comfort Knives!
Dang, TWKG! You got a deal!

Thanks a bunch, Tim, I'm thinking I might have posted that knife in this thread previously, but there's not much you can do when they talk to you as you're passing on by!

Nothing I can think of, Dog, and it's a Big 10"er to boot!
Thanks for the compliment, buddy!
Very clever, Tony, otherwise it'd need to be an "Honest NEW Knife"!
It's one fine knife that everyone should own, but alas, only a few of us do and I get to be one of them, and I'm not even German!

Instantly a Comfort Knife!
Love the one handed action and the distinctive sound the axial lock makes when the blade locks open or shut.
Perfect factory tuning, fit and finish .... sleek, mint, and some nice Cocobolo.

Re: Comfort Knives!
As it turns out, Dog, we were both wrong, in actuality the blade is 4 1/2" from tip to bottom tang. And, 5 1/2" for the handle from butt-end to top of top bolster, = 10". What part of this are we having trouble with?

I think he finds it hard to believe a sword would only be 10" long, Marco. he's going for the 10 footer!

Oh, I see Kerry, has he not heard about synonyms or acronyms or whatever that term is that describes something sarcastically, you know, it's like when one describes a 10" knife as a "sword" in an attempt to make the readers realize just how large it really is? "Champion Cage Rattler" or not, he should know this! And who says we like him, heck, that's for amateurs, we love him! I sure hope you guys know I'm trying to be funny, again!
