All About Pocket Knives

Just because it's warm this year or colder than blue blazes last year means nothing. Weather trends stretch out over decades and centuries. Man lives in the moment. Take a look at the temperature swings over the last 11,000 years. We are lucky enough to be living during a period of warming. Enjoy it, it won't last. Look how it bounces up and down during five year nano-cycles. We've witnessed that during our lifetime.

Just heard on the local weather report that the first two weeks of January here this year was the 10th coldest first two weeks of any year on record. Supposed to get a few degrees warmer tomorrow and up to around 60'F which is close to normal, by this weekend.

Even though its been pretty cold here in PA at least we haven't had the snow (only had to shovel twice so far) DANG, I hope I don't jinx it

Been grey skies and mist/drizzle continuously for over a week now. The news guy this morning said " Hello and welcome to good morning Seattle" We're here in metro Atlanta, Ga.

30's at night and mid/high 40's days, yuck. Depressions is setting in HEEEEEELP

0 chance of snow today.. WELLL.. In the past 1/2hr got over an inch and there is no let up in sight!! BIG flakes too!! And we had no snow on the ground as it all melted in the past days!! Shovel.. Here I come!! John

John, call Gino and have him come shovel for you. After all, it's his fault it's snowing.

That's funny.. We ended up with about 2in of wet snow.. Did shovel but most melted!! John

Came a little skiff here last night. It's January in The Great Midwest, what do you expect. Five + more weeks until baseball spring training starts.

More snow!! Shoveled 4-5in off so far and supposed to get another 2-4in.. Darn.. I knew I should have bought a sno-blower instead of those high fa-lootin knives!! John

I'd definitely help you fellas shovel if I were in your area....I would.

We have the perfect week of weather (for me) here in Florida for the next week....

Guys, I sympathize with you. I'd help shovel too if I was there. Network media talking heads are freaking out cuz it's coming to New York! Disgusts me that they think it matters to the whole world when it happens to them, but when the same thing happens elsewhere it barely gets a mention (if they cover it at all).

Yes, you should. I went over 60 years without a snow blower and we've had some doozies through the years. Bought a snow blower after I retired and it's some of the best money I've ever spent (except maybe for that vasectomy).

Getting a skiff right now in Alexandria, hopefully major dumpage on the way.

By the way, got in my first turns of Winter at Liberty yesterday. The snow was pretty decent, will have to go again this coming weekend.

It's nice up here. 20 degrees and about 3 inches of snow on the ground. We sure could use some of what you guys out east are getting. The frost is down really close to our septic systems. Dave

Use lots of hot water!
Very cold around here. I saw -48 last night. Colder in some spots around the area.
