Nice,very nice . That blue looks great on that Chevelle! Those late 60 s Chevelle and Malibu models are really classy American iron .

Yes and no. Loved showing it, driving it. Hated chasing electrical gremlins. Made good money on it when I sold it that helped put a kid through med school.

Beautiful day here today, so I got the Model A out, gave it a bath, and took it for a spin. Gonna have to spend some time overhauling the speedometer. Supposed to be nice again tomorrow so I’ll get the grandson to help detail it.

That one is a real beauty! Am I remembering correctly, that one belonged to a grandfather?
I had several Model A's in my younger days, none like yours but hunting buggies, once common in the Florida woods.

Thanks Phil. It’s been in the family over 90 years. My grandfather bought it in 1933. After grandpa died in 1968 it passed to my dad. He did a lot of restoration (new paint job and interior). Then it came to me when dad passed in 2015. I’ve overhauled mechanical stuff like the engine, gas tank, fuel lines, carburetor, etc.

It’s like my knives - I’m just happy to be caretaker for a while, until it passes to someone else. And like my knives I’m trying to keep it as near original as possible.

Weather is a big factor for me. I'm a fairweather rider and we've had some wet summers lately. I'm considering selling this one.

Was visiting with brother and Nephew Jake at the family car shop the other day so snapped a few pics . The Porsches are resale vehicles purchased in California. The Chevy pick up is our parts runner . It’s original and came w/ split seat not the bench seat. Still has the plastic bubble covers from factory on the seat . The red speedster started as an American La France fire truck . It’s from Florida and was purchased by a big vacation / resort company . They used to have to have their own fire dept. So bro Jeff did his magic and turned it into a speedster . Still has chain drive ,no drive shaft . We call it ALF now. The Rolls Royce’s are all in excellent condition and we drive them to local shows .
A little info on dating a Rolls Royce. . If you look at the front RR emblem if it has black letters is 1936 or older . Red letters 1937 or newer . Reason for this is one of the founders passed in 36 . Can’t remember if it was Mr. Rolls or Mr. Royce . This is from my memory so could be off some .
The 1936 Rolls in primer in the paint booth is latest project.
And the Walker is Moms . She wants us to do something fun with it ! We aren’t sure yet. Maybe Flames over a deep blue . Or Magenta with gold pinstripes. Will kick that around some .

Beautiful old iron, I enjoy looking at them, but the pickup and wheeled walker are more my cup of tea.

Just got this in a trade with another car guy up north . A 1929 Pick up . It’s been geared to cruise about 45/50 mph without to much rattling and rumbling . We took it out for spin and was neat to drive it . A 3 speed with original 4 cylinder engine . Found out right away trying to get in it’s not made for big people . Am 5 foot 6 inches and 185 lbs and barely got in and out without getting stuck ! The guy we traded a Lincoln for this pickup is a Ford guy all the way . Was an interesting visit with him ,the stories he tells about the old cars and gangsters from the twin cities and Chicago up in the north woods is cool.

That's a real prize in my book! What a beautiful truck.
Brings back memories of younger days when I had 3 Model A's. None anywhere as nice as this truck. Woods buggys but still Model A's. Sold them and a '42 jeep when we left Orange county in 1973. There is a long list of vehicles I wish I had kept. Proves the old sayin', hindsight is 20-20.

Yesterday was our local Cinder city days event in Altoona , Wi. Good turn out ,weather was nice until time for awards and cash prizes ,then the rains came . This show is becoming a reunion of sorts for a lot of us in the area . Was nice to see some of the old neighborhood guys and talk about the “ good old days “ .

A pair of very nice hot rods there Big H . That blue on the T5 is beautiful! Nephew has that same Bullet and they’re one mean mustang machine . When u start one of them it sounds like an aircraft starting . And speed , holy crap they’re fast .
