Appreciate it!
NIIIICE Petrified and Ganzo Ken!

I'm just guessing but I'm going to say both of these have ball or roller bearing pivots. Very smooth and very quick opening, and closing. and very sharp!
Very nice find Phillip!!treefarmer wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 4:11 am Those are some mighty slick knives, Ken.
I wallowed around in the shallow end of the Bay again and found a Queen lock-back from the Rawhide series. In the Queen catalog for 1982 it is listed as an 8450 Paul Revere 5" lock-back, dealer cost was $16.75. The blade seems to have been sharpened once or twice but not improperly, scratches on the blade and bolsters show it's been carried but surely not abused. If you tilt the blade just so in the light, you can read HAPPY FATHERS DAY over 6-20-82. The script is not like the normal markings on Queen knives.
Needs a bit of Mother's and it'll look some better.
Caught this one just right, $5.00+shipping.![]()

Nice knife Don .. and the wrap is excellent!
That's a fine looking knife, I can see why you liked it!QTCut5 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 3:11 am Doing a little fishing in the shallows...turned out to be ice fishing, apparentlyand pulled out this cool little otter knife from Reykjavik with a stamped blade and steel pins/liners and a super hard steel trap snap. Not sure what kind of wood the handle is, Rosewood would be my guess. Not a bad catch for $17.50

I have a copy of this knife, JB, and it still performs like I just got it.
That's one very sturdy looking folder, Rick, congratulations!Railsplitter wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:50 pm Got this Spyderco Ambitious in the mail on Friday.
Extraordinary ergonomics for a knife with a 3.5 inch handle and a 2.25 inch blade.
Thanks Marco! I am trying to talk myself out of getting this model with the upgraded blade steel. I don’t need it but I can’t stop thinking about it and we all know how that ends. Like most Spydercos, this Ambitious really locks into the hand. I don’t think an F5 tornado could knock it out of my hand in this grip.Madmarco wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 3:08 pmThat's one very sturdy looking folder, Rick, congratulations!Railsplitter wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 7:50 pm Got this Spyderco Ambitious in the mail on Friday.

Thanks this is my first auto assist really like the wood and heavy metal
I say go ahead and get the other model too, Rick, you could display one and use one or just rotate the 2 knives. Besides, that's such a nice color. I certainly appears to be fitting solidly in your hand, a great choice, buddy!Railsplitter wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 3:49 pmThanks Marco!
