Stopped by one of my favorite Pawn & Gun's today, was shown a stack of Boker boxes - I picked out this 3-1/2" #280 Whittler. Per the shield it was made to celebrate 140 years of Boker-Germany production in 2009. I like the Washboard Bone jigging. OH

Picked these up today, All at the same antique store. I guess it was 'white knife' day today!

The (3) on the left are all Hammer Brand, including a Kamp King on top. The smallest one on the very bottom has the 1936-37 style maker mark.

The Barlow and small knife above it (on the right side of the pic) are both by Colonial.

One of my buddies came into town to do a project for his sister and requested my help. He brought along this Winchester 3009 Cattle knife and gave it to me. She's been around the block a time or two and the blades have built up quite the patina. The main blade is often sharpened, has zero snap and it doesn't raise the back spring when you open it so I'm fairly confident the tang is worn down. The two secondary blades snap like junk yard dogs. The handles are Celluloid and either 'waterfall' or 'French ivory'. I have problems telling those two apart.

I say French ivory.

Yes, definitely French ivory.
Just look for the even, parallel lines & you can spot it across the room, almost literally.

I picked these up today from the same antique store that I got those Colonial's and Hammer Brand's a few days ago.

They are an Imperial 1-blade fish knife, an unmarked rectangular 2-blade knife (only patent numbers on the blades, I suspect it might be an Imperial), and my very 1st Schrade! I've identified it as a 1920's no. 7703, according to a 1926 Schrade catalog I saw on-line.

Here's an old Colonial advertising knife I picked up recently. I like old Colonials and have been keeping my eyes open for advertising knives with Wisconsin towns on them...This one's a bit faded, but the knife is still in solid shape, blades are full and snappy.

I found these four today. One is a new in box Frontier/Imperial 2-blade promotional with the 'Skelly' gas station logo. The box is marked 1975, model # 41P4.. Next is a beautiful salmon-colored Providence Cutlery Co. 2-blade. Third is a Ranger brand 2-blade with white scales. Last is the 1st Case in my collection! It is a 2-blade, marked Case XX, and has a number on the opposite side of the main blade- either 8233 or 9233. It has faux shell scales.

Nice haul Yank. The Frontiers are very good knives, made by (or for) Imperial as their high end and equivalent to a Schrade Old Timer, I have several and like them. The Ranger is a mid grade Colonial (above the standard shell's but below the Old Cutlers), also a good knife. I have one shell handled Providence that was my Great Grandma's (I inherited it in 1970), don't know much about them, but they sure look like shell handled Imperial and Colonial style knives. Case, well you know about them already! OH
