Re: First cup!
Ray, thanks for the KOKE FM recommendation. I've bookmarked it. I prefer listening to the country music I grew up with. I love the whine of a steel guitar and of course, "If You're Gonna Play in Texas You Gotta Have a Fiddle in the Band".

Re: First cup!
Thanks, Scott and Jerry. The station has new and local ownership and has brought back a bunch of Austin traditions in country, one of which is the Sat morning oldies. The rest of the time the music is a mix of old and modern country, except for Sunday morning when there 3 hrs (8AM to 11) of old time gospel and boy is it good. During the week, there is enough of the old to keep me happy. On weekdays from 8AM to about 10AM, there is mostly talk and it is really good BS, if you know what I mean. The 3 new owners of the station chat it up and take a few unscreened calls. The 3 new owners were unceremoniously dumped from another local station and it is sure good to have them on the air again. They will have guests in that have ranged all the way from Willie Nelson to at least 2 different presidents, Bush 43 and Clinton. And by the way Clinton was an excellent guest. In spite of my dislike of his politics he came in and we all had real fun in the interview. He even sang a Christmas carol. "Only in Austin"

Ray,
I like old country and old gospel. I've got the station in my favorites. I'll be tuning in from time to time.
It sounds very interesting. Thanks.

Re: First cup!
Good morning Ray and anyone else who's up.
Back home now and resting up from my long drive so I can hit the ground running tomorrow.
Got to get ready for church soon. I'll get to see my daughter and granddaughter for the first time in a couple of weeks too.
Have a great day everyone!

Just sittin' here crusin' AAPK and listening to KOKE FM (thanks Ray). Another exciting day in the Great Midwest. I volunteered to help one of my best buddies paint the garage at the place his daughter is moving into this week. I HATE PAINTING.
Got to get ready to go shortly but first I need to finish my cereal. Y'all have a five dollar day on a two dollar budget.

I hope you are still listening as the gospel music program is underway. Willie is singing "A Closer Walk With Thee" as only he can do.

I'm here! It's back to work today.
Y'all have a good one. I'm going to start this one right. Just had my prayer time, now it's coffee and country ham! What a way to start a day.

Morning Wazu, just sat down with my first cup - this is usually my first stop, so I haven't seen any Chinese yet. Of course most far-eastern characters look the same to my untrained eye - wouldn't know Jap from Chinese from Korean, etc.

Waz, I just went and looked at the Q&A forum - I'm betting someone at the production department for Rough Rider is asking design and tempering questions!

Eight of 'em Colonel, but I see they've already been reported. As soon as one of the Mod's wakes up, they'll be gone. I don't understand the mentality that does that kind of crap.

Re: First cup!
Well, I have to go help my buddy move his daughter. At least it started out that way. I guess now there's a moving company that's going to come in and do all the heavy lifting and all we have to do is sit around and stupidvise. I'm good at that so it should be an easy day.
Tomorrow's the day I'm not looking forward to. I have to take one of Linnea's cats for his final visit to the vet. He's 12 years old and has diabetes real bad plus his liver is failing. I'm not much on cats (or pets of any kind for that matter) but since she can't bring herself to do it, somebody has to and I'm not crazy about the job.
