Thanks, appreciate it, the Becker was a mod project, made the Teak scales and took the black blade coating off.

Yup, beastly chopper, the best camp knife I ever had. Mean slicer, great hotdog stick carver, sweet firewood prepper, splitter, and whittles a mean fire stick with good curls for EZ start up. The reviews say it does a pretty good job of being a hatchet too if you need to build a shelter or chop some poles although I have not done that. But I have processed a bunch of kindling and such many times with it and batoned a few logs with it, chopped big branches up and it excels at all those, and I like it better than a hatchet. Although I still take a Cold Steel tomahawk to camp with it.
You might not get them back if they do a great job. Certainly attractive knives.Quick Steel wrote: βSun Oct 10, 2021 12:40 am Thanks doglegg. I've noticed that many of the Japanese knife makers like their blades a bit on the hard side. This had a Rockwell of 60 but I see many at 61 and 62. I need to find a deer hunter to discover if these wonderfully sharp edges hold for some serious cutting. I suspect they will but...
Very nice! I bet theyβd do right well on a deer.Quick Steel wrote: βSun Oct 10, 2021 12:24 am Recently got the smaller version of this nice set of knives.
