Here's an 881Y Schrade/N.Y.U.S.A. that came from a flea market this morning. I really like the match-strike pull on the main blade . It has a spot on the mark side of the clip blade but appears never to have been sharpened.

I have one of those 881Y that was my Grandpaws. But mine has play at the clip end. Apparently what ever takes the place of a through pin isn't doing it's job right. I hope yours is better!

In the picture, it doesn't look like it's ever been carried. Do the secondary blades still have the factory grind?

This Old Timer arived yesterday in the post.
The Main Blade is stamped "881Y"

That's 10-4 on all 3 blades Jerry, factory grind. What about the 881Y, what does it indicate? Noticed that Koldgold just posted one with the same 881Y, but his has saw cut delrin scales.

Just Plain Dave, lots of the Schrade products had the Swendin system on the bolsters that does not show the pins. There are several posts about them somewhere on the AAPK forum.

I plan to hit a show over in Conroe today. Maybe I'll have something to report later.
At the one they had in Cleveland there was a box of dollar specials. Almost all junk.
But I kick myself because I saw at least one solid knife with rusty blades and I should have grabbed it.

I saw some KEWL Benchmade knives. Some KEWL SOG knives. And the ESEE Candiru SPOKE to me saying "you NEED me!"

However the prices did not reflect reality too well and all I did come home with is a Sawmill Skinner.
I have spent a fair amount of time TRYING to sharpen it up. Not working out so well so far.

Also saw and shoulda grabbed a Case Swayback Jack CV.....

Here are a couple of German daggers that found their way to my house today.
A good friend and neighbor passed away a few months back and his widow bought these over to me
today. He had brought these home from Europe shortly after the Korean war.
She said that they have been in his sock drawer all these years.

Tim all I can say is they couldn't have made their way to a better guy. I can't help but think your now departed neighbor is smiling knowing you now have those. They are very cool.

Very fine looking daggers. In fact to my eye they look more refined than many current European products.

When is a knife a "Fish Knife"? I don't get around to gun/knife shows, most are too far away, and the garage sales near here are usually old dishes and tons of kids clothes. My occasional luck in finding a knife is rare, but last Friday however brought me a relic of sorts - - an old Colonial "Fish Knife" for $1. At first I thought it might be only a Sabre with those thin scales but looked closer and saw the rivets that may indicate some thicker handles. The thing does have the pressed tin bolsters but for a dollar who could complain?

Flea market finds today was a Old Crafty 9547 with match-strike and original box and a English WWII riggers knife.The Crafty could be an EDC if I find bolsters for her.

I just got this 1935-40 Remington R6914 Pearl pen knife

Wow,Gino you always get the nicest pen knives and thst one is right up ther in my top 3 or 4 list.
Dog i sure do like that rigging knife.
