This is where my accumulation is stored. These are knives that I bought with the intention of admiring for a while, then finding new homes for in exchange for hard currency. Events have overtaken this plan, my store has been idle for a while. The accumulating has only slowed, not stopped.

95% of these knives are for sale, just not listed in my store. Yet. I hope to get around to it soon, it's been nagging at me that I haven't had the time (and ambition) to get it done. It is nice to admire them in the meantime though

New to the store will be kitchen cutlery. I've been accumulating "inventory" I particularly enjoy kitchen knives made by or for pocket knife makers. I have things from Pal, Cattaraugus, Case, Boker, Robeson and Imperial.
If you don’t mind me asking, is the one circled for sale please? And, did you make this display or is it an old printer letter tray?

The display is an old printers tray. I found it at an estate sale for 10 dollars. I put two small screws with about 1/4 inch sticking out in the bottom corners as it hangs to give a slight tilt backwards to help keep things from falling out

Ha! Maybe this will help explain it, Jerry. Here is how I took it when the thread first started. It might sound a bit silly to you. Hope you're doing well, sir.

"I know exactly what you mean Madmarco! I even carry one in the car to hold while sitting in the awful Atlanta traffic. Just like you said, it has a calming effect. I tend to hold some of the older knives in my collection, and think about what they have been through in their "knife life".. but, I totally agree that they can have a "calming" effect on me.. Here are a couple that I use for this purpose..Just so I don't sound to sappy, I do cut things with them too"!

Thanks, Dog, I'm afraid I don't know the age, or if it was made in Japan or the US, but a Google search brought lots of results so you might want to do that. My knife only has "KA-BAR" stamped on one tang, and "LJN 90" on the other, and is otherwise unmarked so no indication of age or build location. The search took me to 2 copies on ebay, one exactly like mine ($142.) and one with stag covers and the dog's-head shield ($269.) , I paid about $125. for mine. There were others at "Worthpoint" but I'm not much for auctions so I didn't pursue those. It's one cool knife Dog, you won't be disappointed if you score one! Hope this helps!

Absolutely stunning, Tony, I doubt nicer daggers can be found anywhere. I have to be honest, I'm partial to the "Trooper" cuz it has the bottom bolster/pommel, but your "Special Agent" certainly has merits of it's own. I'd be proud displaying those 2 knives in my accumulation anytime!

If I may add to what a CK is to me ... it can be a knife of sentimental value, or one I have been seeking and have finally acquired, or one that
just gives me pleasure to look at and hold, admiring the craftsmanship, style, and thinking about the different uses the designer intended when
they made it. Just a few things that make a knife a Comfort Knife to me.

If you go back and read the very 1st post in this thread, Jerry, it might help explain what the thinking was, or maybe not. If you think you're dense, there are 157 pages of others who must be, too!

You will notice that there's a lot of unrelated banter going on, which certainly pumps up the pages. It's good seeing you posting again, sir, only 700 or so more and you'll hit the big 40, likely the number 1 poster on our forum, congratulations!

They may be like 100 Proof used to be back in the day, except knives are a much more sobering addiction.

It's a 7" Fury 40054 lever-lock with a SS drop-point blade with n/n, decorative bolsters and frame with ebony inserts, and rear lever-lock.
For those quiet evenings of whiskey, cigars, and knives!
