Goodness OH and knifetime, those are 2 beautiful finds indeed! Love the Rem celluloid and the Saddlehorn is pretty hard to find at a pawnshop.

I'm not much on Case knives but that Saddlehorn gets my motor runnin'.

Me neither jerry but finding it in pawn is crazy.

How about a jigged bone English Jack Knife stamped G.W.R. (Great Western Rail Road) on the mark side and John Brookes on the pile side? Working under the premise that this the same John Brookes that formed Brookes and Crookes that dates the knife to between 1835 and 1858. The railroad was formed in 1833, received it's enabling act in 1835 and ran it's first trains in1838. The Brookes and Crookes partnership was formed in 1858. No cracks and a nice spring action. Please excuse the bad pictures. Good daylight is hard to find this time of year around here.

I've had sort of a dry spell in picking up knives. Got this one tonight from the local meeting of the NWKC. Pattern #72 Hammerbrand for $15.00 Another guy had a Schrade Walden #72 but he wasn't there to sell it. Just to show it off.

Nice find at a reasonable price, Scott. It looks like it's in pretty decent condition. You don't see the Hammer Brand clones very often.

BTW, Schrade is #863 and Ulster is #63. Just an FYI for future reference.

That 72 is sweet Job shut down early today the wheather so I swung by a local flea and gut a LB-7,a little Colonial and a Case12-6 1/2 fss all under twenty bucks

Thanx OH and Phil,Yes sir Phil until I gut my Grandpa's 125ot I used the LB-7 for hunting,now I rotate them in with my 110s and 112 at work just for a change and give em a work-out there a GREAT heavy duty knife.When I get a new apprentice I gift them a used 110 or a LB-7 to get em on the right track while I throw out there china tools

I would say that set is an early 1980s.

This one arived last monthis; I never thought I would ever find one.
I think the 8OT is about 1960. KG
