Found this Ulster Official BSA today; this one has sawcut Delrin handles and is marked stainless steel. The can opener and the cap-lifter are much heavier duty than my other Ulster BSA (jigged Delrin and carbon steel). This one appears unused except for a little shelf marking from laying around several decades. OH

Cool knife, OH. First time I've ever seen a Boy Scout knife with those handles.

Just got this New York Knife Co./ Walden for my Birthday !! I am pretty sure it dates from 1931 or before according to Goins. I am a very blessed fellow. Happy New Year to all.

Here is a tang shot. This knife is in excellent shape, I am amazed.

Hey guys thanks for the information. If I may ask since this was a self bought birthday gift, How does the replaced blade effect the desirability or the value of the knife ? Thanks gentlemen I am very grateful for your knowledge and feedback. If I am correct the knife dates back from the thirty's , which is why I was impressed with its quality. I love these older knives.

That was my original thought. The tooling used for both stamps is inconsistent. I have never seen a NYKC knife out of Walden tang stamp with USA. After Imperial bought the hammer brand trademark one would see USA on the tang, but not before.

My guess is 8OT because that is a Spey and not a pen.

I just got back with a few flea market finds...can't wait to do a bit of research and clean these up a bit. Scored a few old American ...Case, Imperial, Cutco, German (CSC), Premier Lifetime, some Sheffield knives, one of those Japanese razor sharp folders, and a real nice mother of pearl Anticorro (Italian?). $2 a piece This will give me something to do in the next few weeks.

Hey Ken; she is the size of a 34ot she's a #9546 where my other Crafty that is the size of a 8ot is # 9547.Both have a spey where my 34ot's have a pen also my 89ot has a spey and match strike nick.
