thanks Jerry, MB and Ricky...I was thinking the same thing when I found the Premier, but unfortunately it's missing the shield. I only picked it up because JB and I both love them, regardless of condition.

Hey Lawrence- those are some really nice finds you have there !! I love going "Pickin" at flea markets, old curio shops etc. And I want to thank you guys for the info on my NYC knife. It certainly is a nice knife and still special if it has been reconditioned, by the way was told to me upon purchase. Yes I bought that birthday present for myself. It would have never been that mint without an overhaul. I am very happy.

So I wanted to post two Knives that I obtained recently. I am a really bad knifeaholic, Just thinking about Lawrence's flea market finds I am getting a little shaky. OK back to my post. This I think are some of my more rare finds. Two salesman samples there are a few cracks in the scales but after that the knives work and are beautiful. Just want to share them with you guys.

That is so funny- especially if I don't buy it I will obsess all week- yep that's me- in fact that's what happened with these Schrade Cut. Co. salesman samples. I did not want to spend the money...but I knew I would not sleep all week if I didn't.

Got this yesterday at a little antique shop i believe its a 1946-1956 imperial hunter nice little knife price was right .amazing how the little black jigged handles are in excellent shape considering its al least 58 years old

Nice old knife Ricky ! I have two of those myself. Had them out the other day. I got them for selling the " Grit " every Friday newspaper when I was a young boy. You accumulated points for the papers you sold.I got a nickel for each issue, remaining 20 cents to the publisher. The publication had, what I would best describe as a company store. After you racked up enough paper's sold points, you could trade your points for their merchandise. One of my knives is an Imperial, like yours, and the other is made by Colonial. Identical though. Watched the mail for days, waiting for those knives. The Grit today is published as a monthly magazine. Bull

Found this little 17" carving knife today: LAMSON & GOODNOW MADE IN THE USA

Hay Guys !! I just picked up these old knives. I love the scales on older knives. I would like to hear some of their stories. The top Knife is a Valley Forge, Newark, N.J. with a unique blade, The middle a really nice Remington Peanut and the bottom is a nice Case Gent's knife. I don't know the pattern this is one of the smallest Case I have seen, I have a Case Tadpole but it is even smaller than that. Thanks for letting me share, I ran home to post this picture, I was excited to share it with you gentlemen !!

I stopped for 15 minutes about lunchtime yesterday at a collectibles store in a small town - found one item - this NOS Ulster Old Timer. It surprised me - wasn't expecting to find a thing that I would buy. I think it may be one of the early "tobacco premium" knives - the pasteboard box is hinged. Better pictures when I get a good day with some good light. OH

It is one of the tobacco knives in very good condition.
They did make a earlier model with bone handles .It has the 58OT on the back of the blade.

That Case should have the pattern number stamped on the back of the tang. It appears to be a 62053.

Thanks guys, it has been quite a week, three knives in three days. I passed a couple of places today that keep knives (old and new), but I didn't stop - can buy but so many! OH
