It is a nice place for a fan to visit, thanks for the pics!

I started to switch, but I had a stranger taking the photos and my wife was waiting on me in the lobby.😊

That is a great experience. We were there several years ago when the grandkids were younger, and a good time was had by all. When we were there Josh Hamilton was a big star for the Rangers, and they happened to be making a run of bats for him that day so the grandkids were beyond thrilled. I tried out Stan Musial and Babe Ruth model bats.

If you’re ever near Louisville, go!

I guess the torpedo bat fad has run its course:  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/649456 ... t%20passed? Looks like just another bat, and depends more on who is using it. ::nod::

I look to see what wood the batter is swinging and I don't see any torpedo bats. ::shrug::

What in the world are the Nationals thinking by trading Mackenzie Gore???? Maybe they got something in return, I don't know out of those 5 names, Ken could maybe tell me. This may go down as another Steve Carlton type trade. You just don't unload a 26 year old lefty with that kind of stuff!

I agree with you, Ike. The players the Rangers sent in the trade are all young, but have some potential. Some more than others, but at this stage whether that potential is ever realized, who knows? Of course, Gore could get hurt and be a bust (Ranger fans painfully remember the Corey Kluber trade).

I’ve read speculations that Washington ownership had concerns they wouldn’t be able to keep or re-sign Gore when his current contract is up, so they decided to punt and get what they can for him now. As a Ranger fan I’m hoping Gore turns out to be the Steve Carlton equivalent. But I’d like to see a trade that works well for both teams.

I’m ready for Spring Training! Pitchers and catchers report in a couple of weeks.

Last year was the first year (except for 2020) that I didn't go to a game since the Nats came to town. Might not be going to any this year either.

Not many switch pitchers ever made it to The Show. I remember Pat Venditte from a few years ago. https://en.albat.com/thedugout/The-Pitc ... -0015.html

I had forgotten about him and the "Pat Venditte rule". One more example of giving the batter "the edge" if there is one to be given.
