The book I have says they were made from 1936-40, so late 1930`s would be about right.

Here's a fairly meager addition to the bunch. Not sure how rare, but not one i've come across before. A Garland Cutlery Co.-Germany. My book just says c1913. Doesn't look to me like it's seen much use and I kinda like the wedged long pull on the primary.

i'm a newb on the site, but got here researching this old Case & Sons i found many years ago. Actually, my son found it in a old tack barn he was working in at a ranch in Colorado. They were using it on cleaning hooves on horses before re-shoeing. I traded him a nice modern knife to "save" this one. I probably got the better part on that deal.........

shure would be nice if some of the modern folders would hold up like that old case, especially for the prices. We are suppose to be driving flying cars but instead we are paying 100.00(s) for knives that of the same quality retailed for<1.00 100yrs ago? Welcome to AAPK kcwftx.

These are castrating knives. Some have a rooster nutter blade plus the castrating blade. Jack Knife Ben from Union Stock Yards in Chicago made them back in the early 1900's.

Here are a few that I have not posted yet, Grahamsville Cutlery, Fayetteville Knife Co and a Phoenix Cutlery Syracuse NY. I have had the Phoenix box for a few years and just picked up the knife at the Wind Gap show thanks to Fran who pointed it out to me.

I was going to bid on this one but with a little over one day to go, the seller took it down. Probably got a good offer on it. Anyway, I think that it merits posting here. Not sure how old, but it is rare. Haynes Stellite. Anyone buy this one??

Howdy folks,

Kind of unsure about this but I`m sure it`s old(Ivory handles) but have never been able to identify the maker so I know it is a rare bird. The stamp at the base of both blade is GR inside a circle and the swedges on both blades are typical of the old knives. Also odd is that it is 3.75 inches closed. Bob

Not my oldest nor the rarest singularly speaking. But with the combo of the two along with the marking and the nice condition in My opinion, it is my rarest probably from 1890-1892 era. Lest this look familiar it was posted on this site several years ago.

Nice one Moss!I have a similar one marked,"M Cromwell Criterion".Slightly shorter and single edge(but long false edge).Here is a 4 blade pearl congress marked as yours.It has half stops on all four blades(also all blades stamped)and has the tiniest straight nail marks I've ever seen on a knife.

Beautiful knife Moss. And Knife7knut, I really like the addition of that congress after Moss's fixed blade, its great to see the two together. The congress has a really beautiful MOP.

Here's a real old Case and Sons Bradford 2104. It's still tight with a great half stop and it snaps like a Gator. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Love it Wazu!!! Has a really good stamp. Most W.R. stamps appear ragged. love the pic showing the old hand-peened pins.
