I've seen pictures but I never realized how big that sucker is. Weird one for sure. Nothing about it looks 'Schrade'. BTW a normal paring knife blade is 3 or 4 inches long. I know everything's bigger in Texas, but Jeez!

Maybe a little irony. Schrade made knives for everybody. Somebody else made this for Schrade, in my opinion. Just sawblade stock butcher, hardware store bulk knives.

The knife is razor sharp the full length of the blade. Almost a cimitar. Butcher knife not as curved. Hard to hold as the handle is almost square. Records look that it was made inhouse. No stamping or marks on the blade other than US.

I don't have any solid info on the knife but it's not a production piece, at least not the one I have. You're not seeing it in the pic but the knife is nowhere near perfect. Especially the plastic handles. They're wavy and not uniform. If I was to guess I would say maybe a rejected sample made for Parker Frost?Re: What Schrade RARE knife do you have

That looks like the old USGI butcher's knife that Camillus made and supplied during WWII with camp cook kits. Not really ugly, in my opinion. Reminds me a lot of the Old Hickory butcher in my knife block. But a little basic, in my opinion.
