Nice knives just lately boys. I picked this one up and had it with me today out in the garden...it's a real work horse. cheers

Been a busy couple of weeks. Three weeks ago hit a local swap meet and picked up a Remington trapper for $13 and a crappy Russian pocketknife for $2. Then two weeks ago, went to a yard sale north of Kettle Falls, WA, which is truly in the middle of nowhere, and found an axe and that Cattaraugus folding machete. Paid $40 for it. Last week, hit a blacksmithing/knifemakers swap meet and picked up a couple of hammers and that stabilized wood you see for $2. I don't know what sort of wood it is but it is damn pretty. Today, to complete the picture, I picked up a Camillus electricians knife for $5, an old Opinel for $6, a 2-bladed pocketknife that was made by Rud. Buchel Merschied in Soligren (sumbitch is sharp too) for $6 and last but least some Scandinavian knife I paid $12 for. The sheath alone on it is downright pretty as well.

Those Scandinavian knives are generally great cutters!

I picked this up a couple of days ago at a flea market. It's an old advertising letter opener by Novelty Cutlery. Tang stamp is N.C. CO. over CANTON O. Goins says 1879 - 1948. Price was too good to pass it up. Blade is full and never been sharpened. It was lazy when I got it but after a few drops of Tuf-Glide it now has some closing snap. Celluloid scales are intact but starting to show deterioration so not sure if I'll keep it as is, quarantined from others, or pop off the scales and maybe get some new ones put on it.

BTW, from what I have been able to find so far, the advertiser, Hovden Food Products was a seafood canner located on Cannery Row from 1916 through 1972 when they apparently went out of business.

Grabbed these 3 from eBay for $22 shipped total.......USA Made GERBERS, LST 200, LST 400 and LST 600 Magnum. The 400 is slightly used and the other 2 are as new......seller pic.

Trevor -- That Gerber LST 200 must be what I have. It's a tiny little thing.

Yeah Jerry, there are under 3" closed, have a couple more of them around here somewhere and they are a nice small knife.....the LST200 is the main reason I pulled the trigger on them. Seen the small Kershaw you posted the other day....another sweet little knife.....

Mine doesn't say "200" on the tang. It just says "Gerber (over) Portland OR"

I'm assuming you're talking about the Kershaw 3000 DWO I posted.

I think the 3000 was the one, small gray one...?
Here is one of the Gerber 200's that the wife snagged from me, it's just a hair over 2" closed.
