We've gone from -45 a couple weeks ago to 35 above and freezing rain and now snow and then it's gonna get cold again!

Ken, sounds like what we've been experiencing. Tomorrow it gets back up to the low 40s for a high and Wednesday too. Hopefully that will melt what's left on my driveway.

Hope you're right Perry. For your sake and my son's. He lives in Tennessee also, couple hours west of you. They can't get out of their driveway either. School has been closed for about a week now and my grandkids have cabin fever. He and my daughter-in-law are ready for them to go back to school.

We had a little skiff of snow late yesterday and into the evening hours. Now I'm looking forward to "appreciating" Spring. It can't be too far away. Cubs spring training games start a week from today.

Getting a re-run here too! Started snowing this morning about 10. Just came in from feeding and watering critters. Got 3 - 4 inches so far and still coming down, great big ol' flakes. High today was 26.

You're right about that! This afternoon I had insulated coveralls over my shirt and jeans, but 25 degrees, snow and wind blowing from the north about 20 mph so I put on a coat with a hood on it, which I rarely wear. The other critters didn't care but when I went into the chicken house the chickens started squawking like crazy! They all usually follow me around like pets (they know me as the food source ). At first I couldn't figure out what was going on but then realized they didn't recognize me. Not sure if the chickens are smarter or dumber than the others!
