Hey GSPdog , what catalog do you have ? There’s a number of short lines that have appeared over the years that aren’t in any books, catalog cuts ,etc. based on what Ive noticed over the years.
Have a pharmacist short line, the 17 were talking about and some more . So knowing Camillus like we do we are finding out they made whatever ,whenever ordered and didn’t keep the best records . Also Catalog printing was expensive back then so they didn’t do more than they had to. And not All models made that years catalog .
Vit , your 1946/47 dates for the 17. Could you please tell me where you found that ? Appreciate it. Have only seen these 2 recently posted ones and curious to find more info if possible.
Catch you fellas later

J.P. I am looking from my book by James Parker printed about 1984. So, I am not sure how far it goes back, it shows old patterns for Case and Ny. Knife Co. and KA-BAR, etc...etc... So, I am not sure as to the date of patterns it is showing. It shows the #67 and #68 with stag handles and the #67 in white pyroxyline.

I'm pretty sure Vit is right, that this was a one year offering. 1947/47. It never shows up after that.

Added a short line #11 Tip Top barlow, don't think it has had very much if any use. Love the Tip Tops, they are slightly larger and heavier than your average barlow.

Vit, Thank you for your link . Had forgot about that . Read pg 9 again and noticed the #2 isn’t set up for production in that Catalog. So like the #17 and a few others , is there a short line #2 out there ? Anybody have one lying around . Have seen newer ones but not late 1940s or older .Vit_213 wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 8:47 amThis is my favorite Camillus catalogue - http://www.collectors-of-camillus.us/Ca ... illuss.pdf![]()

JP, I do not have the 10 in a short line, I have it in a 4 line and a very hard to find 10 long line, Camillus bolster with bone covers, pretty much has to be one of the last 10 frame bone barlows made. I think after these Camillus only made the smaller 50 and 51 if I remember right.

Morning John . Nice long line and 4 liner . Believe you’re correct about the 50 and 51 ,they made them lighter and thinner ,then Delrin instead of bone .JohnR wrote: ↑Wed May 03, 2023 11:20 amJP, I do not have the 10 in a short line, I have it in a 4 line and a very hard to find 10 long line, Camillus bolster with bone covers, pretty much has to be one of the last 10 frame bone barlows made. Might have a 10 short line extra here . Will look around and see if it’s in decent shape if you’re interested . Been pulling a bunch of stuff out getting ready to sell off a bunch of knives and do it all over again. It’s the hunt and search that really gets the blood flowing.
Thanks for sharing John. Always a pleasure

I can see why they've been getting carry time. A great-looking duo!

A new "Short-line" #23 to add the stash
A really like the #23 pattern, so now I am on the hunt for #23s (along with #10s and #11s).
And of course, always on the lookout for "Short-lines"
