The prediction for our little chunk of The Great Midwest is temperatures climbing into the 40s by Saturday and even into the low 50s for a couple of days the middle of next week. Can Old Man Winter be losing his grip on Northern Illinois? I can only hope.

Until then, one more trip below zero tonight. Maybe that will be the last of this nonsense.

John, Tommy, I do feel sorry for you and all the rest who have been so hard hit this winter. Spring will come. It always does.

Here we go again! We yesterday we had areal flood warnings and a winter storm warning all at the same time. We had around 3 inches or rain, then .25 inch of sleet, and as of now 6 inches of snow and it's still coming down.

Everything is shut down: businesses, doctors offices, local government, even the University and they never close.

Yesterday, when we left the gym, it was 78 degrees. We drove home with windows and sunroof open. Others had their convertible tops down.

Temperature dropped to near freezing in just a few hours and freezing rain, sleet and some snow this morning through the day until about 3 PM.

28 now. Headed for 22 in the AM and then back up to about 50, then 60's on Saturday and Sunday.

Strange.

In the AM here it's gonna be close to 9! It will get up to 36 tomorrow hopefully. Sunny here for today and that helped a bit with melting but it's gonna refreeze tonight.

Same here Perry. You cam be sure here in the upper south, that if you have snow one day you'll have ice the next morning. Lol.

Ain't much to most of Y'all, but we had 70 degrees this am for a low, then at noon it was 80 degrees, a cloud came from the west and it dropped to 55 in less than an hour. It's now in the low 40's. I was about ready to plant some of the garden. Believe we'll just change hats and make some venison sausage early next week.
Snow is so interestin' to me but I guess we'll stay here in the south and fight the alligators, hurricanes, Rattlesnakes, mosquitos, fire ants and lets not forget the humidity .
It's a wonderful world God created even with the adverse weather conditions we all have from time to time!

Very true, Tree farmer! I lived in the terribly humid and hot Eastern part of Texas for the early part of my life and still with this show, prefer the Tennessee weather overall. We get four seasons here and you never know what it's going to be but every season is very welcome when comes. Except this snow of course!

Well the weatherman now saying most of us gonna get a warm spell next few days. Ya'll know what that means - we all get to play in the mud! Temps got up into 50s here today with bright sunshine so most of that white stuff completely melted everywhere except in the shade. Out in the pastures them 4 legged critters are sinking in to about 6 inches deep with water standing everywhere. Had to remove my boots and jeans on the back porch before coming into the house! Good thing I got no close neighbors!

Lol, temp got up to 36 here in the Southeast today but will climb into the 50s tomorrow. My driveway is still covered but I did get out and worked all day. 50s for the next several days here too!

Rained here all day today, high temp about 60. Still have a lot of water and mud from the melted snow but it was starting to dry up some be gird today. The horses love rolling in the mud! I took these pictures yesterday so hoping the rain today cleaned them up a little.
