Ain't that the truth! They’re bulldozing literally thousands of acres around here. Homebuilders here have lost the art of building a house on the existing terrain. Instead developers bulldoze and level EVERYTHING into a totally flat treeless, featureless plat. Then they put in streets and utilities, sell the tiny lots, and build all the houses, duplexes, apartments etc they can cram onto the land. They flatten any hills, and fill in lakes. Then they build houses on the fill, and sell them to buyers who aren’t from the area and have no clue the house into which they just invested major bucks was built on fill where there was a pond or a lake just a few months ago.

They put a phony gate at the entrance and give them cute names like, "Was Woods Estates" and "Formerleigh Fields", There's one a few miles from us called, "Lone-Tree Acres". Perfect. O'.
